If you’re constantly second-guessing which shield to use, you’re probably overcomplicating it.
I’ve simplified my lash shield selection down to just two main shield types - my goal is to make everything simple, practical and super easy to understand!

Shield placement is one of the most overlooked parts of a lash lift. Even being 1–2 mm too high can change the final result completely, leaving you with underwhelming results.

From years of doing Korean lash lifts, I’ve learnt that it really comes down to the small details!
Here are a few things I wish I’d known from the start 👇🏽
1. Shield & eye analysis
One shield doesn’t work for every client. Taking the time to look at eye shape, lash direction and shield structure means you can tailor every single lift instead of just going through the motions.
2. Lash placement & isolation
Precision is everything. Crossed lashes or uneven placement before step 2 will show up in the final result every time. Slow down, take your time and check from every angle.
3. Shield positioning
If your shield is sitting too far from the lash line, you won’t get that lifted root result. Correct placement is what gives that clean, structured lift clients keep coming back for.
4. Too much glue balm
Using too much product actually works against you - it blocks the solutions from processing evenly. Less is more. Better control, cleaner isolation, more consistent results.
5. Not evolving your technique
This industry moves fast. The artists getting the best results are the ones who keep learning, refining and understanding the why behind what they do - not just repeating the same method.
