IMPORTANT POST FOR BLONDE/BALAYAGE CLIENTS AND WAXING CLIENTS

Recently there's been alot of videos online world wide and just want to hop on and explain how to avoid it and explain why it happens.

Firstly, bleaching any kid of blonde and balayage is a chemical process. Which is all fine until there is a product or chemical you have put in your hair that we are unaware of that you might not even realise the harm and can react .ie box dye contains metallic salts, Harsh cleaning product uve accidently gotten in ur hair while cleaning prior to your apt, swimming in a chlorinated pool and not shampooing it out, some supermarket shampoos or products that contain alot of non water based silicones all these are examples of chemicals/silcones in ur hair that can cause a reaction when bleaching such as chemical burns to ur hair, smoking, hair breakage during colouring etc.

A Simple solution is washing ur hair the day before ur hair apt (ideally a clarifying shampoo) and conditioner and leave out any other product. (Heat protector such as olaplex is fine) This also ensures we get the best lift and theres no build up of grease that will hinder our clean result for your blonde.

We Cannot stress enough how important this information is as nowadays there are so many products out there people are using prior to their blonde apt. Another example is the sleek back trend, Using stuff from ie. shein which is fine but just shampoo it out well before ur highlight apt, the blonde will not lift evenly, and your risking a chemical reaction.

And now onto waxing and retinol. With so many people using retinol based products nowadays DO NOT USE IT AT LEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR to your waxing service. These products while they are amazing for your skin they do not go well with waxing! It can cause burns on your skin. And it's become a huge problem for salons world wide because the beautican can not know what your using at home. The second picture is an example taken by another salon of grazing and burns when using retinols too soon before ur waxing apt.

While we dont want anyone freaking out we just want you all to be informed and aware of these things can happen and how to avoid any issues.
