✨Summer makeup essentials✨

Keeping your skin protected from the sun and looking hydrated and fresh is so important especially in the summer.

When youre travelling abroad, there are some essentials that we would recommend. These include:

☀️A high coverage SPF that should be reapplied every two hours and make sure not to forget your neck!

☀️A clear mascara that can improve the look of your lashes and brows without adding too much product

☀️A skin tint or a CC cream rather than a foundation so your skin can breathe and give dark circles or imperfections coverage

☀️Lip SPF; dont forget your lips, they need SPF reapplied every two hours also

When you're planning a holiday, the last thing you want to worry about is bringing all of your expensive skincare with you.

📣PSA: Skin Cancer Awareness Month 📣

So in Beauty Atelier, we advise every person that comes in our door to use SPF! Whether you are a sun worshiper or hide in the shade, you need to apply your SPF regularly.

There are many benefits to SPF which include:
☀️It decreases the risk of skin cancer
☀️It prevents sunburn
☀️It fights premature ageing

According to dermatologists, SPF 45 blocks around 98% of those sun rays. It is important to reapply especially if you are in water and if you have young children.

Our wedding morning guide has so many useful tips and tricks that will help you get organised and stress less. It is a busy morning and the less stress, the better!

Some of our highlights include:

🌸Bra straps and socks: its something everyone forgers about! They leave marks on the skin and sometimes take hours to go down soake sure you invest in a good strapless bra.

🌸Ironing: you have dresses hanging to avoid wrinkles but they will need a freshen up on the morning. A handheld steamer or steam iron will be your best friend but make sure the heat is on low.

🌸 Getting dressed: usually the bride will get into her dress an hour before she has to leave. Allocate enough time to get dressed and whos going to help you. Always make sure you have clean hands when getting dressed!

Our bridal skincare guide has so many tips and tricks that will help you get your skin the healthiest it has ever been. Everyone talks about the bridal glow, but makeup alone cannot achieve this look.

Some of our highlights include:

🌸Nourishing your skin is important, not just the face. It is important to exfoliate and nourise the whole body using an exfoliater that removes the dead skin cells and a moisturiser that hydrates and brightens the skin. We have both Medik8 and Image products available in studio that are suitable for both dry and oily skin.

🌸Professional treatments such skin consultations, microneedling, peels or laser treatments should be finished around a month before your wedding. Any treatment thats a bit more intense should not be completed too close to the wedding to minimise risk of irritation, redness or flaky skin.

🌸 24 hours before your wedding, we would advise you to limit your sugar and alcohol consumption and drink plenty of water to give your skin the opportunity to be gorgeous and hydrated. Dont stress if you get a breakout; your makeup artist will be able to work thwir magic!

✨This guide is an amazing skincare guide that helps you get on your skin journey from one year before your wedding up to the day of your wedding.

✨It is filled with lots of suggestions for those with anyone looking to try out new treatments such as facials, peels or microneedling.

✨It also has a lot of tips for what products you need to have in your skincare routine to help your skin feel and look more hydrated and flawless.

✨Hair Trials✨

When a bride books us for her wedding, we advise her to book in a trial for her hair and/or makeup with us so we can see what she would like to look like on her wedding day.

Hair trials are so important but our top 3 reasons are:

🌸To see if the hairstyle suits you: We advise all our brides to bring inspo photos with them to their trial and we will use those photos to create a look for you so you can see if it suits you or if you'd like to try something different.

🌸 To see if your hair is suitable for the style: We will always try to create a look that you love but we willalso advise you on whether tou hair will be able to keep that style throughout the day. Our hair stylists may suggest some extensions for thickness, length or a haircut.

🌸Hairstyles and head pieces: The trial is the perfect time to bring your head piece with you so we can help you choose a look based on whether you're keeping your head piece on for the day or taking it off at the reception. We will make your hair look stunning either way!
