Re-equilibrio:Terapias para aliviar a dor

I blend my knowledge gained & learnt from years working as a Pharmacist both in Hospital & Community practice, (& the privileged insight this allowed me into the lives & reality of illness, injury & disease), with my own personal learning experience of injury & the ensuing hopelessness of the chronic pain that followed. While modern medicine is in many ways a miracle that our generation is immensely lucky to have at its disposal, it also has huge limitations. I learnt this both through observing the lives of patients I dealt with closely on a daily basis, & subsequently personally when I was crippled by severe pain & found that the best doctors, physiotherapists and diagnostic tests & tools could do nothing to help me. I was told to expect a life of pain & medication. I decided there had to be another better way and this lead me on a path of learning and discovery, firstly into finding ways to help myself & then to training in various therapies including Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Cranio-Sacral Techniques, Trigger Point Release, Hot Stone Fusion Massage & Bowen Technique. It was this final one that got me back to living a normal life again after years of restriction. I have a particular interest in helping people with chronic pain issues, but I equally work with sports people, musicians, people with chronic illness (not pain related) as well as with people who just want to relax and feel good for the sake of it. Why not! ;-)
