What a crazy 3 years 👏
From opening the door of the Carrigtwohill shop to today in Midleton , what a journey its been 🙂 So happy I moved premises, finally feels like home 🫶

Thank you to every customer who has walked through the door since the start and helped to keep the shop open 🙏
To all the Carrigtwohill customers who followed me and still continue to follow me , thank you and I am grateful for all yer support, I really didn't expect so many of ye to walk through the door here 🤗
To all the new customers I've met and still continue to meet thank you for giving me a chance and supporting me ! Thank you for spreading the word about here to yer friends and family and making me feel welcome 🤗

Thanks to my family for helping open the Midleton shop, especially my brother Martin, who if he wasnt there to help the shop still wouldnt be open 😅🤣 He does so much behind the scenes that nobody see's but without him mirrors would of fallen off walls, shelves be on the floor and everything 😅 thank you ❤️

Chris, thanks for doing the painting and listening to me b*tching and moaning every so often(very often🤣) about how the world is ending one minute and then how everything is rainbows and butterflies the next and what porsche I want for Christmas🤣🫶 - to anyone self employed ye know what im talking about 🤣

To my parents who helped push me to even open the shop in the first place and are always there when I need help, thank you 🫶

Never did I think the shop would last a year, nevermind 3 years 😱 I don't know where the time has gone, its crazy 😳

I'm born and bred in Cobh, I know you can call me in**ed while you're sitting in my chair 🫣🤣🤣 I've heard it all before 🤣🤣

With over 13 years of experience, this isn't a chop shop ! Let me know what you want or take in a picture and you'll be leaving with what you want 👊 There will no asking for a trim here and going out scalped 😅 I've worked in plenty of barbershops over the years and we always strived to have the customer leave with the haircut they wanted, not hiding for a month so their fringe grows back out 🫣 Just don't blame me when you ask for a buzzcut and I try to explain how short it will be and you still continue to get it and complain its too short - thats on you at that point 🤭🤣

Thats the main reason I opened The Barber Lounge, I never wanted it to be a chop shop, i always wanted a shop where the client is listened to and I do my best to get the result they want ! While also having a chat , a laugh and wherever else the conversation leads !

Over 13 years of barbering and only since I opened The Barber Lounge I started to post more on social media 🫠

I remember the days of it being about the skills you had behind the chair and the connection you made with people and not about posting yourself every day on social media 🤣 Word of mouth was the way to go and thankfully still is 🫡

One thing i will say though is I'm starting to enjoy it a little bit more now, the first few times I posted I HATED it so much 🙈

There's something rewarding though about pushing yourself outside your comfort zone and learning new things. Never did I think I'd start to feel a small bit more comfortable being in front of the camera, I always just wanted to be behind it 📷

One thing I'm glad I have is thick skin, I really couldn't care less what people have to say because someone's always going to be saying something about you anyway 🤣 Why not put yourself out there a little and see where it goes, what's the worst that's going to happen ? You get people talking, whether it be good or bad, there's no such thing as bad publicity 😉 💫

What better way to start a bank holiday weekend than a stroll in Ballyannan Woods 🌳 People always told me to go there and we finally did and even with the rain it didn't disappoint 🌦😍 Cant believe its been on our doorstep all this time and never went !

Even with a dog that's now odd with us because he hates the rain and then to make it worse had to have a shower when we got home , it was so worth it 🙂‍↕️
