I’m Paula, a PMU artist, educator, and judge, and someone who genuinely loves the art behind what I do.

For a long time, my page has been a place to show my work and promote my treatments and training. But I want it to become something more than that.

I want you to see how I think.
Why I choose a certain technique.
Why I choose a certain colour.
What I look for in a healed result.
What I’ve learned through my own work.
What I notice when judging other artists.
And the things I’m still learning myself.

This is the result after the first session of machine Hairstrokes, healed for 6 weeks. The strokes have settled beautifully while still keeping that soft, natural look.

The top-up is simply to refine any areas that have faded slightly and make those minor adjustments — then my client is good to go! 💜

Because when you zoom in this far, you start to see just how crazy PMU actually is.

What looks like a soft, natural hair from a normal distance is essentially made up of tiny little pixels of pigment placed with so much intention that our eyes put them together and read them as a real hair.

The direction, spacing, saturation and shape of every little pixel matters and I honestly think that’s one of the coolest parts of this technique
