✨ MEET ELLA — THE NEWEST MEMBER OF HAIR BY LUCY! ✨
We’re so excited to welcome Ella to the Hair by Lucy team! 💗
Ella is joining us as our new apprentice, but she’s definitely not brand new to the world of hair — she already has 3½ years’ experience working in hairdressing under her belt. ✂️✨
She’s come on board with us to continue her training, build on everything she already knows and get plenty of hands-on experience across all aspects of hairdressing.
Ella is also attending BIFE College, continuing her education alongside her salon training — the best of both worlds! 🙌
You’ll be seeing lots more of Ella on the floor, and we’ll be looking for plenty of lovely heads of hair for her to work her magic on as she continues to learn and grow. 🌈

Sometimes a consultation goes completely full circle… 😂
You talk about going lighter.
Then darker.
Maybe a fringe.
Maybe a chop.
Maybe a completely different colour…
…and then you end up doing absolutely NOTHING you originally talked about 😂🙌
And that’s exactly why consultation is SO important.
It’s not just about asking “what are we doing today?” — it’s about listening, asking the right questions, understanding what your client actually wants, what they DON’T want, their lifestyle, their hair history and how they want to feel when they leave the chair.
Sometimes the best plan is the one you didn’t even start with. 💗

…and if you were lucky, you might actually get to do a bit of hair 😂
There was no “that’s not my job” — EVERYTHING was your job. 😂
Basically… apprentice = salon skivvy.
But Jesus did we learn. You watched EVERYTHING, listened to EVERYTHING and slowly worked your way up from the bottom.
