Well… where do I even start?

Yesterday was our very last day working together as a team at Alterego — and my last day in this little place I’ve called home for so long. Yesterday was filled with so many emotions, and I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s walked through these doors over the years — staff and customers alike.

We’ve made so many amazing memories here: endless laughter, some tears, plenty of chaos, and more than a few wild celebrations (and nights away that probably shouldn’t be mentioned 😅).

To all the incredible staff I’ve worked with — especially the ones who have become lifelong friends — I’m so grateful for every shift, every chat, and every coffee run.

And to our wonderful customers… thank you for keeping Alterego alive all these years. Some of you have been with us since day one, some have become friends along the way, and a few… well, let’s just say you’ve given us some unforgettable stories. 😉

A special thank you as well to everyone who got in touch to wish us well over the last few days — we were completely spoiled with flowers, cards, gifts, and the loveliest messages. We’ve truly felt the love and support, and it means the world. 💕

Here’s to 14 years of my life spent in this place — it’s been an incredible chapter, and I’ll treasure it always. ❤️

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT from Alterego hair studio
After 14 wonderful years of styling, laughter, and memories, it’s with mixed emotions that I share some news — the salon will be closing its doors on August 16th 2025
The building we've called home for over a decade on Castle street is being knocked down due to age and redevelopment, bringing this chapter to a close.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to each and every one of you who trusted us with your hair, your stories, and your friendship. Your support, loyalty, and kindness made our salon more than just a business — it became a family.

For anyone with gift vouchers, there is almost 3 months left to use them — please make sure to book in before the closing date. And if this is not possible they can also be redeemed against produts in store.

But this isn’t goodbye from me! I’ll be continuing to offer hair services from a cozy new studio in my home. (Details to follow in the next few weeks how to book etc)
