Hi ladies I hope you are all keeping well 🥰 I can’t even begin to find the right words for this post so here goes.. I have made the extremely difficult decision to not return to the salon when it reopens. This is a decision I haven’t taken lightly and have thoroughly put a lot of thought into. I know a lot of my clients will be upset and for that I am so very sorry! Covid has been a very stressful time for everyone but in particular for small businesses in the hair and beauty industry. We have taken a massive hit and with trying to follow every single guideline and do our best to be safe it was never enough. Not only from a business point was it stressful but it also hit hard mentally too. In the last few weeks I have had an opportunity come my way that I simply can’t turn down and at the end of the day I’ve had to make a decision that is right for me and I hope everyone can understand that ❤️ with taking a break from hairdressing I just wanted to let all my clients know that I can’t thank you all enough for supporting me over the last 14 years, if it wasn’t for you I couldn’t have went self employed and grown my business to what it was before covid. My clients mean the absolute world to me which makes this even harder and I will miss having the chats and laughs with each of you 💕 To anyone that has vouchers for me I will be refunding everyone in the coming weeks. Lastly I can’t thank The Salon girls enough for everything they have done for me, I feel so incredibly lucky that my path in life led me to such an amazing, fun filled 14years with the best family I could have ever asked for 😭 I will miss ye girls so so much you have no idea the impact ye have had on my life ❤️

To say I’m devastated would be an understatement that we AGAIN have to close our doors and this time without a return date set. We have stuck to every guideline possible and tried our best to make every single client feel safe while entering the salon it is so disheartening 💔 I will not be rescheduling or taking any appointments until we have a return date and to anyone I couldn’t accommodate I truly am sorry there just isn’t enough hours in the day to get everyone in. Thank you so much to every single client that has continued to support me and been so understanding in these tough crazy times. Hopefully 2021 will be a better year ladies can’t wait to see you all again soon ❤️ love gill xx

Ok ladies thought the week I will be rescheduling all appointments cancelled due to lockdown.. the only fair way to work this is to reschedule from the week we closed like I did the last time. The only downside is it is physically impossible for me to accommodate everyone in the space of 3 weeks so unfortunately this means not everyone will be accommodated this side of Christmas, I’m afraid it is totally out of my hands and I’m trying the best I can to get everyone in. If you haven’t heard from me please be patient and bare with me as it takes time waiting for people to reply so I can move onto the next round of rescheduling ❤️

So girls as I’m sure you are all aware we are closing for another 6 weeks 😭 to anyone who had appointments booked with me please be patient my phone is blowing up with messages all day. Once I have officially finished work on Wednesday I will then be trying to organise my book and deciding how to go about rescheduling everyone. This is a very stressful time for everyone so if I don’t reply to a message please bare with me as this will take me a few days to try and sort out. Thank you so much to all of my clients for continuing to support me and for being so patient since returning to work in June I really appreciate it ❤️

I am absolutely loving being back to work and loving all the transformations lately, but I have to say this transformation has to be my favourite ever 😍😍 im still crazy busy at the moment so I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to messages it’s been strange trying to get used to the new normal in the salon 😅

Girls I’m still trying to get through rescheduling my appointments 3 days later 😅😅 if you haven’t heard from me yet don’t worry I will be in contact it’s just taking a little longer than I expected! With all the new rules and regulations I can’t pack in appointments like I used to so it’s taking a little longer to accommodate everyone so please bare with me ❤️

Ladies I will be sitting down tomorrow to go through and sort out every single appointment that had been cancelled since March. The only way I think is fair to work it is rescheduling from the first week we close, I have a serious amount of mails and messages to get through so please please bare with me x

Ladies we still have not received a confirmed date by the government yet and that is the only date we will be going by! I know it’s very hard not to get your hopes up reading all these articles today but they are making it extremely difficult for hairdressers at the moment and it is very frustrating and unfair! I am not taking ANY appointments until a date has been confirmed next week. Thank you x

Govt to decide next week on reopening of hairdressers The Government will make a decision next week on when hairdressers can reopen, the Minister for Health has told the Dáil.

Ladies not the news we had hoped for today 😭 I still won’t be taking any appointments as of yet but hopefully things might change in the next few weeks 🤞🏼 missing all my clients and can’t wait to see you all ❤️

Bad news, folks: Hairdressers to remain shut until 20 July You’ll have to wait a bit longer.
