Dubliner Carl Hickey got 105 points in his Leaving Cert and had never known what he wanted to do after school. But after taking a PLC course, he went on to get a first-class degree from NCAD and is now living his dream as an artist. Ard Voltas is excited to be host to this Communal Creative Hip Hop Workshop with the great and which will start off their Irish and European tour. This is coming up on

Sunday August 24th
from 1pm to 3pm.
Cost is €10

The Communal Creative Tour, featuring Pseudo Slang and J-Scribe the Journeyman, offers a workshop that teaches the basics of Hip-Hop craft elements along with an overview of its historical significance. The facilitators have decades worth of experience as touring rappers and DJs, as well as visual artists, with an abundance of knowledge to share with anyone wanting to learn about Hip-Hop craft and culture. Workshop attendees will be taught the basics of rhyme writing, DJing, and graffiti, as well as the histories and contemporary relevance of these artforms.
