We love hair and we would love you to love yours ❤️ We are located in the MSLETB, Sligo Training Centre (formerly known as FÁS), Ballytivnan, Sligo.
We are training to become qualified hairdressers and have our own salon. To make an appointment please call 071 91 59526. All appointments are complimentary. We only take people from the public on a Thursday at 10.30 am and 1.30 pm.

Sorry that we have been quiet lately but we have been practising all things hair and scalp here in Training Centre Sligo.
It is amazing how time is going so quick, the stage 3 apprentices are working on their end of year projects and the stage 1 apprentices are perfecting their styling skills.

The wait is over!!!!!
We are having our next open salon on Tuesday 3rd March at 1:15pm
Please note that the only appointments we will be taking are for root colours and/or blow dries. A skin test is required for all colouring services.

And what a two week block that was!!!!!
Our Stage 1 apprentices were in college for their two block weeks.... let me tell you, it was all go. We went from manual handling to plaiting and from colouring to working as a team... and everything in between.

A massive thank you to Gemma Crossan Award Winning Hair for coming in yesterday to show the stage 3 group the newest upstyling trends and techniques.
It was great to see how to manipulate the hair in the most amazing styles, while learning the tricks to make the finished look amazing.

A huge thank you to Genie Kelly from Guys and Dolls, Ballisodare.
Genie came in on Monday to give us training on barbering; who would have known that barbering isn't so scary after all 🤣. Genie had great patience while showing us her skills.
We learned loads on Monday and had a few laughs along the way 😉.

*EXCITING NEWS*
We are running an Introduction to Hairdressing evening class this January.
It will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Who this course was designed for:
* People who want to know how to do their own hair
* People who are considering hairdressing as a career but do not want to commit to a full time course
* People who want to refresh their hairdressing skills
* Anyone that has an interest in hairdressing
* Anyone that would like the know the industry better

For the last year the apprentices and I have been squirrelling away our used recyclable bottles to help a charity.
We chose as our charity and we raised a grand total of €167.85. This was achieved with minimal effort and helping the environment at the same time.
Thank you so much to each of the apprentices, you all helped with this and it is great to be able to give something to such a worthy charity.
What a journey this has been ❤️.
3 years of learning and laughs, 3 years of getting to know each of you wonderful individuals, I feel so privileged to be a part of your apprenticeship journey.
I hope each of you are truly proud of yourselves; you have grown so much personally and professionally since you first joined the National Hairdressing Apprenticeship and I think you realised that today when we were going through the hopes and concerns you had this time three years ago.
My last open note to you guys is this: please don't be a stranger, if you ever need advice ( ye all know I am amazing at giving advice 😉 ) or if I can help you in anyway, just give me a call. Just because your apprenticeship has ended, that doesn't mean that our doors are closed xx
