Tabasco Van Erpekom

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear and wonderful 'Bacco Man' at the age of 29 years. A stallion of exemplary temperament, movement and athleticism.
This much loved son of DARCO has been the most super stallion and friend since we bought him as a yearling . Carefully brought on to inspection and full IHR approval by Marie Burke of Clare Equestrian Centre, his progeny have achieved excellent results around the world.
Lovingly cared for by our daughter Claire and family - we said goodbye to him with many tears on Thursday 12th June. 🌈
Thankfully we have some of his offspring to continue his line - so watch this space over coming months and years.

A glimpse of exciting arrivals

Over these past weeks Carmel Welsh of 's River Stud and equine clinic has been extremely busy in over-seeing the arrival of four beautiful foals by Tabasco. We have three c**ts and one filly safely delivered from four of our stock TB mares. This is the proven cross which has seen many progeny of this son of Darco do so well around the world.
We are indebted to Carmel for her expertise and care.

Easter arrival.
The first foal for 2025 for Tabasco. Born at 3.30am a beautiful c**t foal.
On the same night as we heard of the passing of Pope Francis we feel it fitting to dedicate to his memory this beautiful foal by Tabasco and have named FRANCISCO.

We thank Carmel Welsh BSc BVM&S CertAVP (stud med) MVB for her help in securing the pregnancy and the foaling. Three remaining Irish NH mares will foal at the end of May.....so watch this space .

Finished 6th with only 8 completing the course with over 50 entries.
Carmel Welsh of Kilcash Equine Clinic was on holiday in Scotland and was surprised to hear the announcement of this entry as she visited Blair.
