From little acorns grow mighty oaks π±
A very proud moment for us as Amy celebrates her graduation π₯Ή
Amy first came to us after completing a PLC course to see if hairdressing was the career for her. That gave her the opportunity to fast-track into Year 2 of the Hairdressing Apprenticeship at WCFE, completing what would normally be a three-year programme in just two years.
And she didnβt exactly hang around πͺπ¨
While still an apprentice, Amy made it all the way to the WorldSkills competition and came home with gold in hairdressing. An incredible achievement at any stage of a career, never mind so early on.
She officially qualified last November and has already spent almost a year working as a fully qualified stylist in the salon, building a brilliant clientele and a fantastic following of her own.
Now the story has come full circle. Amy is also helping to mentor and teach the younger apprentices coming through behind her, with the apprenticeship syllabus still very fresh in her own mind.
We are ridiculously proud of everything she has achieved and, knowing Amy, this is only the beginning β€οΈ

This week, the team headed to Style Parlour for a short cutting and creative course with Paul Davey, sharpening their skills across everything from pixie cuts to modern shags.
The focus was on mastering the classic techniques behind a brilliant haircut, then learning how to adapt them for the shapes, textures and styles clients are asking for now.
Sectioning, elevation, distribution, texturising and plenty of hands-on cutting. A proper day of learning, refining and getting stuck in.
Because trends will always change. Strong technique is what allows a stylist to move with them.
A big thank you to Style Parlour for having us and to Paul for such a brilliant day of education.

Brown hair already contains red, copper and gold pigment underneath whatever shade you see on top. The darker your brown, the more of it there is. Even cool brunettes have warmth sitting under the tone. βοΈ
