After 14 wonderful years, REVEAL is now officially closed. â¤ď¸
It is difficult to put into words how much this business and all of you have meant to me. From the moment I opened the doors in 2012, REVEAL became so much more than a place for treatments. It became a space filled with conversations, laughter, trust, friendship and countless special memories.
To every client who booked an appointment, purchased a product, recommended REVEAL, supported the business or simply cheered me on- thank you. Your loyalty and kindness allowed me to do what I loved for 14 incredible years, and I will always be deeply grateful.
Although it is bittersweet to say goodbye, it is also time to embrace a new chapter.
Thank you for being part of the REVEAL journey.
Hereâs to new adventures⌠â¨
With love and gratitude,

đť The Sunflower Theory
Iâve been growing sunflowersâand watching them progress from tiny seedlings into tall, beautiful plants has been such a lovely reminder that growth takes time.
Sunflowers donât bloom overnight. They begin beneath the soil, putting down roots before there is much to see above the surface. With sunlight, water, support and patience, they gradually grow stronger and begin to flower.
A few things Iâve learned while growing mine:
âď¸ Give them plenty of sunlight. Sunflowers thrive in a bright, sunny position.
đ§ Water them consistently. Water around the base, but avoid leaving the soil constantly waterlogged.
â Try an occasional coffee boost. Every now and then, I give mine a little leftover plain black coffeeâfully cooled and well diluted with water. Use it sparingly as an occasional extra, not as a replacement for regular watering.
đą Support taller stems. A cane or stake can help protect them when the weather becomes windy.
The popular âsunflower theoryâ says that when there is no sunlight, sunflowers turn towards one another for light. While that isnât scientifically how sunflowers behave, the message behind it is still a beautiful one.
Young sunflowers naturally follow the sun as it moves across the sky. They seek out the lightâand perhaps we can take something from that.
Keep facing towards the things that bring warmth, hope and joy into your life.
On darker days, look for the people who help you find the light againâand be that person for someone else when you can.
Progress may sometimes feel slow or remain unseen, but that doesnât mean nothing is happening. Roots are forming. Stems are strengthening. Growth is taking place.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Keep facing the light.
And when someone you care about needs a little encouragement, be their sunflower. đťđ

đ§ Your Brain Needs Rest Too
Rest doesnât always mean sleep.
You can be sitting down while your mind is still processing messages, decisions, background noise, unfinished tasks, worries and everyone elseâs needs.
Mental rest isnât about completely âswitching offâ your brain or forcing your thoughts to disappear. It means temporarily reducing some of the demands on your attention and giving your mind fewer things to manage.
Here are six ways to create that space:
đ Sensory rest
Reduce noise, harsh lighting and constant stimulation. Turn off background television, sit somewhere quiet or take a walk without headphones.
đ§ Decision rest
Give yourself a break from making continual choices. Plan tomorrowâs clothes, repeat a familiar meal, shorten your priority list or decide what can wait.
đď¸ Focus rest
Stop asking your attention to perform without pause. Look out a window, make tea without multitasking or take a moment between finishing one task and beginning another.
đľ Digital rest
Create a temporary boundary around information and availability. Silence non-essential notifications, step away from social media or enjoy a screen-free meal.
đ Emotional rest
Take a break from holding, explaining or managing everything. Write down what youâre carrying, speak to someone you trust, set a boundary or give yourself time before responding.
đ¨ Creative rest
Choose something enjoyable without turning it into another achievement. Colour, garden, bake, arrange flowers, complete a simple puzzle or return to a familiar craft.
Rest can be quiet, creative, practical or simply a few moments with nothing to solve.
You donât have to fill every pause. Sometimes the kindest thing you can give your mind is less.
Less noise. Less input. Less to manage. More room to simply be. đż
Which type of rest do you need today?

⨠The REVEAL 5-Minute Reset Menu
Different moments call for different kinds of support.
Some mornings, you need help beginning calmly rather than rushing straight into the day. Sometimes, you need space to organise an overwhelmed mind, pause before reacting emotionally or begin again after a difficult moment. At the end of the day, you may simply need help moving out of âdoing modeâ and into rest.
Thatâs why weâve created five different resets:
âď¸ Morning Grounding Reset
đŹď¸ Calm the Overwhelm Reset
đ Emotional Pause Reset
đą Fresh Start Reset
đ Evening Unwind Reset
Each one offers five simple actions to complete in five minutes. They wonât make every problem disappearâbut they can help you pause, check in with yourself and choose how you want to move forward.
Swipe through the menu and choose the reset that meets you where you are today.
You might need grounding.
You might need calm.
You might need space, a fresh start or permission to let the day rest.
All you need is five minutes and the right reset.
Save your REVEAL Reset Menu for whenever you need it. đ

đ§ Hydration Month at REVEAL: What Are You Taking With You?
As Hydration Month comes to an end, weâre looking back at the simple reminders, skincare tips and everyday habits weâve shared throughout August.
Hydration isnât about drinking a large amount of water occasionally or following a perfect routine. Itâs supported by small, regular choices that become a natural part of your day.
Here are some of our favourite reminders to take with you:
đ§ Start your morning with water
Have a glass before your morning coffee to begin replacing fluids after sleep.
đŤ Keep water visible
A reusable bottle on your desk, in the car or beside you throughout the day is much easier to remember.
đĽ Hydration can come from food too
Cucumber, oranges, watermelon, strawberries and other water-rich foods can contribute to your overall fluid intake.
â° Create simple reminders
Pair water with meals, refill your bottle when itâs empty or set a gentle hourly reminder until regular sipping becomes more automatic.
𧴠Support your skin from the outside
Apply a hydrating serum to slightly damp skin, follow with moisturiser and look for ingredients that help attract, replenish and seal in hydration.
đż Notice what affects your skin
Warm weather, air conditioning, heating, travel and changes in routine can all influence how hydrated and comfortable your skin feels.
Most importantly, hydration doesnât need to be all or nothing. One glass, one refill or one extra reminder still counts. Choose the habits that fit naturally into your life and carry them forward beyond Hydration Month.
Thank you for joining us throughout the month. We hope youâve found a few simple hydration tips to add to your routineâboth for your body and your skin.
What hydration habit are you taking with you? đŚ

⨠The REVEAL Approach to Wellness
At REVEAL, wellness means caring for the whole personâbody, mind and soul. It isnât something to consider only when you feel depleted or overwhelmed. Itâs an everyday practice that supports you through lifeâs demands.
Here are the seven pillars of our wellness approach:
𧰠Your wellness toolkit
Keep a few tools you can use when you feel stressed, overwhelmed or low: box breathing, the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding method, journalling, mindful colouring, meditation or a quiet walk. Different moments may need different tools.
đ¤ Sleep
Good-quality sleep supports physical and emotional wellbeing. Aim for a regular routine and around seven to nine hours where possible. Poor sleep can leave you depleted and make daily pressures harder to manage.
đĽ Nutrition and hydration
Nourish your body and mind with regular meals, varied foods and enough water. Donât become so busy caring for everything else that your own basic needs are forgotten.
đś Movement
Walk, stretch, practise yoga, cycle, dance or go to the gymâchoose movement you enjoy. It can offer a break from daily pressures while supporting your body, mood and wellbeing.
đŹ Social connection
We all need our people. Make time for friends and family, while remembering you donât have to accept every invitation. Connection matters, but so does recognising when you need quiet or rest.
đ Boundaries
You are allowed to say no when youâre exhausted, unable to take something on or need time for yourselfâwithout guilt. Protecting your time and energy is part of wellness.
đ Rest and self-care
Donât empty your own cup by continually filling everyone elseâs. Make time for rest, hobbies, laughter and whatever helps you feel like yourself. Self-care belongs throughout the yearânot only when you reach your limit.
Wellness is multi-layered. Itâs how sleep, nourishment, movement, connection, boundaries, rest and everyday coping tools work together to support you.
Know your pillars. Build your toolkit. Keep filling your cup. That is the REVEAL approach to wellness. đż

đ§ A JOURNEY THROUGH THE GLYMPHATIC SYSTEM
If we could follow cerebrospinal fluid through the brain, where would it goâand what would happen along the way?
1ď¸âŁ THE JOURNEY BEGINS
The brain and spinal cord are surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid, or CSF. This clear liquid cushions, protects and supports them.
2ď¸âŁ ENTERING THE BRAIN
CSF enters spaces surrounding the brainâs arteries. From here, it exchanges with the fluid found around the brainâs cells.
3ď¸âŁ AN ACTIVE BRAIN
The brain is always working. Its cells communicate, use energy, transport materials and carry out repairs.
Like all active cells, this normal activity produces metabolic wasteâmaterial that is no longer needed.
4ď¸âŁ COLLECTING THE WASTE
As fluid moves through the spaces around brain cells, it helps collect soluble waste and excess material.
This can include everyday cellular by-products and excess proteins such as beta-amyloid and tau.
Both proteins occur naturally in the brain. Tau supports the internal transport system of nerve cells, while beta-amyloid is a fragment created when a larger protein is broken down.
They are not automatically harmful. Researchers study what happens when altered or excessive amounts accumulate rather than being cleared normally.
5ď¸âŁ MOVING TOWARDS THE EXIT
Now carrying waste, the fluid moves towards spaces surrounding the brainâs veins.
From there, it reaches drainage routes outside the brain, where the body can continue processing the collected material.
The glymphatic system is not quite an overnight âdetoxâ or washing machine for the brain. It is a specialised fluid pathway helping maintain a healthy environment around brain cells.
Its activity appears to change across the sleepâwake cycle. However, research into exactly how it worksâparticularly in humansâis still developing.
đĄ DID YOU KNOW?
The name âglymphaticâ combines GLY, from the glial cells that help guide the flow, with its LYMPHATIC-like clearing role.
Another remarkable process quietly taking place behind the scenes. đ§

⨠The REVEAL Approach to Skincare
At REVEAL, skincare has never been about simply treating what we see on the surface. Itâs about caring for the person and understanding the many factors that can influence their skin.
Here is our guide to looking after your skin as a whole:
𧴠Products
Build a consistent routine suited to your skin. Begin with cleanser, moisturiser and daily SPF. Introduce targeted ingredients individuallyâmore products donât always mean better results.
⨠Professional treatments
Treatments can support specific concerns and complement your home routine, but they donât replace daily care. Choose treatments based on what your skin needsânot simply what is trending.
đ¤ Sleep
Rest gives your body time to recover. A regular evening routine can also help you cleanse properly and complete your skincare before bed.
đ§ Stress
Notice whether stressful periods coincide with breakouts, sensitivity or flare-ups. If your skin is unsettled, focus on gentle support rather than introducing several strong products.
đ¸ Hormones
Puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, perimenopause and menopause can affect the skin. Track recurring patterns and seek professional advice for sudden, persistent or painful changes.
đ§ Hydration and nutrition
Drink regularly, include water-rich foods and enjoy a varied, balanced diet. No single food, supplement or drink creates perfect skinâthe overall pattern matters.
đż Lifestyle and environment
Wear SPF, cleanse after heavy perspiration and consider how weather, heating, air conditioning, movement and everyday habits may affect your skin.
Skincare is multi-layered. Products and treatments matterâbut so do sleep, stress, hormones, hydration, nutrition, lifestyle and environment.
Now you know the REVEAL method, you have a guide to carry forward. When your skin changes, look at the whole pictureânot only the product shelf.
Listen to your skin. Understand what may be influencing it. Support the person as a whole. That is the REVEAL approach. đ

đşď¸ Maps Change. Plans Evolve.
When you first set out on a journey, you may feel certain about the road youâre going to take.
You make a plan, choose a direction and imagine exactly how youâll reach your destination.
But maps change.
Some roads no longer exist.
Some are temporarily closed.
Some are rebuilt.
And sometimes, completely new routes appear that werenât available when you first began.
Life can be like that too.
The plan you made years ago was based on who you were, what you knew and what was available to you at that time. As life changesâand as you growâitâs natural for your plans to evolve too.
Taking a different route doesnât mean youâve failed, lost your way or abandoned the journey. It may simply mean youâve recognised that another road suits you better now.
Sometimes the alternative route is longer. Sometimes it includes unexpected turns, pauses or a little uncertainty. But it can also introduce you to opportunities, people and experiences you would never have discovered on the original road.
Youâre allowed to:
⨠Reconsider the route
⨠Change the timeline
⨠Choose a different direction
⨠Take a break and check the map
⨠Create a new destination altogether
A plan is there to guide youânot trap you.
Stay connected to what matters to you, remain open to what unfolds and allow the route to change when it needs to.
Journeys change. Plans evolve. Keep moving forward. đ
