וכך, כהרף עין, הגיע לסיומו יריד ספרי האמן השביעי של ארטפורט 📚✨

במהלך ארבעה ימים, אלפי מבקרים שוטטו בין השולחנות, מאות ספרי אמן מצאו בית חדש, ועשרות השקות, שיחות, סדנאות, מופעים ומפגשים בלתי צפויים מילאו את הבניין שלנו.

תודה לאמנים ולאמניות, להוצאות הספרים, לכותבים, למעצבים, למשוררים, למופיעים, למנחי הסדנאות, למתנדבים, לשותפים ולמבקרים שהפכו את היריד הזה למה שהוא 🫶🏼

ספרי אמן נוצרים לעיתים קרובות לאט, בשקט, והרחק מאור הזרקורים. היריד הוא הזדמנות נדירה להפגיש את כל הקולות הללו במקום אחד, ובכל שנה מחדש אנחנו נזכרות עד כמה הקהילה הזו חיה, נדיבה וצומחת.

תודה שקראתם, דפדפתם, אספתם, תמכתם באמנים ובאמניות, ועזרתם להפוך כל יריד לטוב מקודמו.

And just like that, the 7th Artport Artist Book Fair has come to an end 📚✨

Over four days, thousands of visitors wandered between the tables, hundreds of artist books found new homes, and dozens of launches, talks, workshops, performances, and chance encounters filled our building.

Thank you to the artists, publishers, writers, designers, poets, performers, workshop leaders, volunteers, partners, and visitors who made this fair what it was 🫶🏼

Artist books are often created slowly, quietly, and far from the spotlight. The fair is a rare opportunity to bring all of these voices together in one place, and every year we’re reminded how vibrant, generous, and growing this community is.

Thank you for reading, browsing, collecting, supporting artists, and helping make each fair better than the last.

רגע לפני שהיריד נפתח היום, אנחנו רוצות לשים זרקור על חדר קטן ומיוחד שמחכה לכם בקומת הכניסה בגלריה: חדר כפפות לבנות 🤍

החדר מוקדש לספרי אמן נדירים ויקרי ערך, כאלה שנעשו בעבודת יד, בטכניקות הדפס שונות, באופן עצמאי או באחת מסדנאות ההדפס. ספרים שדורשים דפדוף עדין ותשומת לב מיוחדת, ועל שמו כן הוא - גם כפפות לבנות.

השנה בחדר כפפות לבנות יוצגו ספרי האמן של: אורה בריל, אורי וויינשטיין, אנת מריה מרת קוביץ, אלחנדרה אוקרט, גליה לוי גרד, עינת אמיר ורונית ג׳וי הולץ.
לצד הספרים, יוצגו בחדר גם עבודות אמנות של: גיא גולדשטיין, דנה יואלי, וניה שאוב, עומרי המרלין ורועי מנחם מרקוביץ.

Just before the fair opens today, we want to shine a spotlight on a small and special room waiting for you on the gallery’s entrance floor: the White Gloves Room 🤍

The room is dedicated to rare and valuable artist books, made by hand, through various printmaking techniques, independently or in print workshops. Books that call for gentle browsing, special attention, and true to the room’s name - white gloves.

This year, the White Gloves Room will feature artist books by: Ora Brill, Uri Weinstein, Anat Maria Martkovich, Alejandra Okret, Galia Levy-Grad, Einat Amir and Ronit Joy Holtz.
Alongside the books, the room will also present artworks by: Guy Goldstein, Dana Yoeli, Vania Schaub, Omri Harmelin and Roy Menachem Markovich.

📘 11:00 Memory, Wandering, Movement and the Medium of Photography - launch of Lee Yanor’s new artist book, Come About. A conversation with Dr. Drorit Gur Arie and a performance by Mami Shimazaki.

📕 12:00 Peak Emotion - launch of an artist book by Yoav Weinfeld. A conversation on peak emotion as anti-emotion, with Prof. Merav Roth, Dr. Smadar Sheffi and Yoav Weinfeld.

📙 13:00 On Comfort and Discomfort - a conversation on the relationship between text and image in the artist books of Nitai Halup, Tiklet Ram and Hila Laviv.

📗 14:00 Until the Day I Die | حتّى يوم موتي - writing as an act of resistance. Marking the artist book חי.ה_ מת.ה_מת.ה-_חי.ה by Hila Lulu Lin Farah Kufer Birim. Participants: Arna Kazin, Hila Lulu Lin Farah Kufer Birim and Yael Messer.

📘 15:00 It Takes a Village to Publish a Book - Yair Meyuhas and Shiraz Grinbaum on two photographed journeys that led to the creation of the Madaf website and two artist books.

📕 10:00-16:00 Date with a Poet - poet Orit Gidali meets fair visitors for one-on-one sessions and writes them a personal poem: a private spell, blessing or fable.

📙 10:00-15:00 Artist Keren Katz at a station for shrinking and distilling artist books.

📗 10:00-16:00 The zine workshop of Paper Station will be open to the public. In a sandbox-like atmosphere, using Xerox, a press, paper and scissors, participants will create zines on a variety of subjects.

Four days of artist books, workshops, launches, conversations, performances, zines and many more surprises!

״זו היא נבואת העתיד שלך״ - הצגה לכבוד השקת פנזין חדש של ״תחנת נייר״. ההצגה והפנזין מעלים מחדש ועל הכתב את ההתנצחות בין פרופ׳ ישעיהו ליבוביץ, מנהיגי הציונות הדתית וטומי לפיד בתוכנית ״פופוליטיקה״.

📙 13:00 This Is the Prophecy of Your Future - a performance marking the launch of a new zine by Paper Station, revisiting the confrontation between Prof. Yeshayahu Leibowitz, leaders of religious Zionism and Tommy Lapid on Popolitika.

📗 14:00 The Brief as an Artwork - launch of the book How Do We Actually Teach Design? + a session of conjuring up exercises, with Merav Peretz Shemi, Nitzan Debbi, Prof. Oded Ezer and Lilach Shtiat.

האירוע יכלול שיחה קצרה עם האמן ועם מעצב הספר אבי בוחבוט, ולאחר מכן מופע מוזיקלי בליווי גיא שרף.

The second day of the Art Book Fair brings together everything we love about artist books: theoretical comics, sticker-making, imaginary books, real books, and a musical launch to end the night 📚✨
Thursday, June 18, is full of good reasons to come early and stay late:

📕 16:30-18:30 A hands-on workshop in theoretical comics with Dan Allon.

📙 18:30-21:30 Stickers or Nothing - a workshop for children and adults, led by Tal Alperstein and Hagar Ziegler.

📗 19:00 Books Like These by Renana Raz - a participatory talk show with the audience, about artist books you have never written.

📘 20:30 Words Becoming Worlds: Mt. Krazy - launch of Oree Holban’s first artist book, created following his solo exhibition Mt. Krazy, presented at the Nachum Gutman Museum of Art.
The event will include a short conversation with the artist and the book’s designer Avi Buchbut, followed by a musical performance accompanied by Guy Sharaf.

📕 18:00-20:00 Printmaking techniques workshop marking the birth of the art book Panim, led by artist Or Segal.

📙 20:30 The Neon in the Streets Was Turned Off Long Ago - an event marking Omer Sheizaf’s new artist book, Mars Resembles Itself.
A performative event accompanied by a kinetic light work by Sheizaf, created in collaboration with and hosted by artist Nir Shauloff, with guest speakers and artists. With: Omer Sheizaf, Adi Dahan, Zohar Elmakias, Naama Brauer, Tal Levy, Yochai Avrahami and Mila Levy.
