Home Remedy for sun burn
3-4 in piece off an aloe vera plant, sliced in half
1 Tbsp coconut oil, in liquid form
1/2 – 1 tsp raw honey or propolis
The amounts above will vary depending on how much you need to cover. I used this for the area that a tank top does not cover on my chest.
Directions: Start with aloe vera, liberally rub all over infected area, let dry (30-90 sec), next take coconut oil and rub over infected area (over where the aloe was put). Next take the honey (I would suggest using a propolis tincture, I didn’t have one on hand I need to order more!) and rub into any areas that look more red or blistered. Then put an old tee shirt on and go to bed. Most if not all will be absorbed by morning. Take a warm wash cloth and wipe off any sticky spots. For maintenance continue the process the next night. Do this till the burn is either gone or better.
I would love to know how well this works for you! I do not want to “re-test” it to find out how well it will work for me again so if you are burnt and try this PLEASE let me know how it works for you!

6 Ways To Get Hairless Skin Naturally
Hair removal has always been a matter of genuine concern since ages. With passage of time it became a necessity and part of our busy lifestyles. Quick fixes, hair removal treatments and painful methods were adopted to strip hair that marred beauty and caused embarrassment.
But these quick fixes not only turn out to be pretty risky, but extremely painful and costly. Waxing comes with excruciating pain and requires proper hygiene. The likelihood of getting allergies, rashes etc. are quite high for Lasers treatments. Besides, they aren’t exactly giving you a permanent riddance from these pesky hairs. So why not go for natural and risk free ways to remove hair. Lined below are some good and natural ways to get rid of unwanted hair:
1. Sugaring
This helps you to get rid of hair from the roots and for a longer duration. The ingredients required for the sugar spa is 2 cups of sugar,1/4th cup lemon and /4th cup water. Heat the pan and mix all the ingredients with continuous stirring, till it turns into a thick brown paste. Allow the paste to cool to a nominal temperature before use. Apply usual methods of waxing to remove hair.
2. Ant oil massage
One of the ancient methods to remove hair is massaging your body with ant oil. This can be used at a very early stage of development for a baby girl, which restricts hair growth, eventually making it permanent. Not only small babies but young women can also use this oil. Before you use, it is advisable to remove the hair for once and then apply ant oil at night for 1 month. It removes hair permanently.
3. Threading
Threading is one of the commonly used ways to remove hair from the sensitive parts of your body like eyes. Applying sugar, wax etc. can damage the delicate facial tissue. A thin cotton thread is used for this purpose which is curled and rolled along the skin, traps hair and lifts it up by the root. This is considered as the best way to get beautifully shaped eye brows.
4. Home made facial
Hairy face causes embarrassment and can be very annoying for women. A better alternative to hair removal creams is a home made facial. The ingredients include lemon juice, water and gram floor mixed thoroughly. Apply this onto your face and leave till it dries. Scrub it off in the direction of growth to peel off unwanted hair.
5. Egg paste
It is the safest method to remove hair from any part of the body. Ingredients include ½ cup egg white, 1/2 cup sugar and ½ cup corn floor, mixed well to make a paste. Apply this on the hairy area and leave for 15 minutes to dry. Scrub it off in the direction of hair growth.
6. Yogurt and chickpea floor paste
Mix equal amounts of yogurt and chickpea and make sure that the paste being made is a thick one. Apply this mixture on your body and let the paste dry for half an hour. After the required time scrub and wash it off.

7 HOMEMADE REVITALIZING MASKS …
Experimenting and making your own homemade revitalizing masks is not only fun, but a great way to save too… not to mention that you’ll always have a peace of mind knowing that the thing you’re putting on your face is 100% natural and free of chemicals. So, what are you waiting for? Here’s a list of 7 homemade revitalizing masks you can whip up right now!
1. ORANGE MASK
Fresh squeezed orange juice is one healthy, refreshing drink — we all know that. But did you know the pulp you’d normally throw away can be used to make a really nice mask that’s going to make your face glow? You can use the pulp on its own, mix it with honey, oatmeal, yoghurt or all of the above and the results will always be great so go ahead, give it a try!
2. CUCUMBER MASK
Blend one cucumber and mix the paste with a little bit of yoghurt to get one of the best, easiest to make homemade revitalizing masks ever! I can’t tell you exactly how much yoghurt you’ll need to put as it depends on the size of your cucumber so just pour it in slowly and make sure you don’t put too much as that will make the mask too runny. This mask is something you can use all year round and since yoghurt does wonders for sunburns, it’s safe to say it might come handy this summer.
3. MINT MASK
Homemade revitalizing masks with mint leaves will not only refresh your skin and cool it down in these hot summer months but clean it too and help you deal with those blackhead and whitehead problems as a bonus. Now, the following recipe needs a bit of work but, believe me, it pays out. You’ll need ½ cup of cucumber solids so blend and strain one bigger cucumber. Put it into a saucepan, heat with some fresh water and then add chopped mint leaves and heat some more to help the ingredients blend well. Leave the mask to cool down, apply, hold for 15 minutes, rinse off and voila!
4. FRUIT MASK
Both you and your face will love this mask so once you’re done with the beauty part, focus on the fun part and eat the leftovers. But first, let me tell you which fruits to use to make this tropical revitalizing mask! Okay, mash 3 papaya slices, 2 mango slices and 1 pineapple slice and add 1 tablespoon of warm honey. Yes, it’s that simple! Honey should not be too hot and fruits should be fresh – that’s the only side note I feel the need to add. Let the mask sit on your face for about 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
5. STRAWBERRY MASK
Strawberries can be used as an all-natural astringent which is great, especially because most people (including myself) have problems with big pores. They are also rich in vitamins and will do wonders when combined with other nurturing elements such as honey. Here’s what I do when I’m in the mood for a fruity facial mask and strawberries are the only fruit in my fridge. I take about 5 bigger strawberries, mash them using a fork (to keep the little granules intact) and mix that puree with one or two tablespoons of honey. I leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes (sometimes even whole 30 minutes) and rinse it off using gentle circular motions. Those little granules I’ve worked so hard to preserve have a great exfoliating effect and fruity acids and vitamins combined with soothing, softening properties of honey give my face an instant glow.
6. OLIVE OIL MASK
There are plenty of great homemade revitalizing masks to restore the natural beauty of your hair, too. So let’s start with the simplest of them all — the one made with olive oil and egg yolks. Mix two egg yolks and about ¼ cup of olive oil, apply this mixture, put a plastic bag over your hair and leave on for about an hour. You can leave it on longer if you want but I wouldn’t suggest sleeping with it on as this is one really messy mask. Oh, yeah, just one little tip… keep the mixture away from the roots! I did it once and my head was greasy for like a week or so!
7. HERBAL TEA MASK
Herbal teas can be used to make wonderful revitalizing masks too! I use chamomile for nourishing, mint for revitalizing, lavender for soothing and sage for deep cleansing. The process is actually pretty simple so all you have to do is prepare the herbal tea of choice, leave it to cool down, dip cotton pads of clean cotton cloth in it and then hold that on your face. It’s kind of boring because you have to lay still but the results are really wow so it’s definitely worth it!
Have you ever experimented with homemade revitalizing masks, ladies? I love them! And the best part is that you can always eat or drink the leftovers! Well… almost always… I really couldn’t imagine myself eating the olive oil + egg yolks mixture. Ewww!
