Two rotis and dal at seven o'clock. Nothing after that. And still, the next morning, the fasting number is higher than the day before.

If this has happened to you, it is not in your head, and it is not because you did something wrong.

Most people I speak with are already doing everything they were told. Less rice. A walk after dinner. Tablets on time. And the numbers still do not move. That is rarely a discipline problem. Usually, a few important pieces are missing, and nobody has shown you which ones.

So I have created a short video course that explains what is really driving your numbers, in plain, simple language.

The Recovery First Blood Sugar Course
▪️ 8 short lessons, about an hour in total
▪️ Watch on your phone, at your own pace
▪️ Free for the next two weeks, until Tuesday, 20 October

The link is in my bio. 🙏

If someone in your family is managing their sugar, please share this with them.

This course is education and works alongside your doctor. Please do not change any medicine on your own.

"I didn't even eat rice/roti last night..." Why is my morning sugar high?

If you've ever said that after seeing a high morning blood sugar reading, you're not alone.

Most Indian Women immediately blame dinner.

But your morning number may be telling you much more than what was on your plate.

In this video, I explain why there are more factors that can influence your morning blood sugar—and why eating less isn't always the answer.

👇 If you'd like my free guide explaining why so many women are doing everything right and still struggling with blood sugar, send me a WhatsApp message, and I'll send it to you.

The scale is moving. But what are you actually losing?

One of the biggest things I want people using GLP-1 medications to understand is this:

Weight loss and healthy body composition are not the same thing.

When appetite drops, it's easier to eat less.

But eating less can also make it harder to get enough protein, maintain strength, and recover well from training.

That's why I don't think the only question should be:

"How much weight have I lost?"

There are other questions worth asking:

→ Am I getting enough protein?
→ Am I maintaining my strength?
→ Am I doing resistance training?
→ Is my energy still good?
→ Am I building habits I can maintain long term?

The goal isn't simply to make the number on the scale smaller.

The goal is to lose fat while protecting the body you actually want to live in.

I've put together a free GLP Success Guide covering 5 challenges that GLP-1 doesn't automatically take care of.

Someone asked me if GLP-1s are just a shortcut for lazy people.

Here is what I said. If GLP-1s are a shortcut, then so are statins. So is metformin. So are beta blockers.

When your uncle takes a tablet for his blood pressure, nobody calls him lazy. When your mother takes metformin for her sugar, nobody says she took the easy way out. We simply say she is taking care of herself.

So why does the judgement start only when the medication is for weight?

Most people I speak to who are on a GLP-1 did not arrive there casually. They had already tried the morning walks, the low-carb phase, the portion control, the 5am gym membership. For years. Their hunger, their hormones and their stress were working against them, and they finally asked a doctor for help.

That is not laziness. That is a medical decision, made with a doctor, the same as any other.

And what I find beautiful is what it opens up. When the constant noise around food quietens down, there is finally room to eat properly, to lift something heavy, to sleep, to build habits that actually stay.

So if you are on a GLP-1, that is okay. If you are thinking about it, that is okay too. Talk to your doctor and decide what is right for you.

And if there is someone in your life you have been quietly judging, please be a little gentle with them. There are enough hard things in life already.

Share this with someone who needs to hear it. 🤍

For years, a lot of us in health and fitness looked at GLP-1s as a shortcut. I understand why. But I think we missed something important.

GLP-1s did two things we had been trying to do for a very long time.

First, they made weight loss feel possible for so many people who had tried everything and felt stuck.

Second, and this is the part that matters most, they made the everyday habits more important than ever.

When your appetite gets much smaller, every plate counts. That smaller portion of dal, roti, sabzi or curd still needs to carry enough protein, vitamins and minerals so your body can hold on to muscle.

Strength training stops being optional. It becomes one of the main ways you protect your muscles, bones and joints while you are on the medication.

And stress and recovery matter too. When you are running on poor sleep and high stress, holding on to muscle becomes harder.

So the medication is not the whole story. It works best alongside the basics, and alongside the care of your doctor.

If you are on a GLP-1 and you have questions, leave them in the comments below or send me a message. I read every one of them. 🤍

A hundred women registered for Saturday's masterclass. It filled and I had to close it.

But here is the thing that actually stayed with me.

Early on I asked the room which of three they were. One, I do not know what to do. Two, I know what to do and I cannot stay consistent. Three, I know what to do, I am doing it, and it is still not working.

Almost every single person said three.

Nobody in that room needed more information. They had already cut rice at dinner. They were already walking after every meal. They were already taking their medication exactly as prescribed, never missing, never late.

And the HbA1c was still climbing.

So we spent ninety minutes on why.

Why carbs did not cause it. Why walking blunts the spike after a meal and does almost nothing to your fasting number. Why almost nobody comes off medication on routine care alone, and what the research actually says about that. Where a high morning reading comes from on the nights you ate nothing wrong. And the five things that drive all of it, four of which have nothing to do with your plate.

I have put the whole thing up. Ninety minutes, no charge, nothing held back.

Comment REPLAY and I will send you the link.

This workshop is for the woman who cooks almost everything at home, and has for years.

Who walks most days, and has been told to walk more.

Who has already cut rice at dinner, or cut it out entirely.

Who has lost weight before, more than once, and watched it come back.

Who feels like her body started behaving differently somewhere after 40.

And who is tired of being handed another list of foods.

Every one of those is a sign of effort. Not one of them is a sign of failure. And effort is not what has been missing.

This Saturday I am running a free 90 minute workshop on the five things that actually drive blood sugar, and why they only make sense together. Sixty minutes of teaching, and then thirty minutes where I answer your questions live.

Comment WORKSHOP and I will send you the link.

If you know somebody this describes, send it to her.

No rice. No roti. Nothing sweet after seven.

And the morning number is high anyway.

I hear this constantly, and the first assumption is always the same. It must have been something I ate.

It usually is not.

A morning reading is not only a report card on last night's dinner. It is also a report on the day before it, and honestly on the months and years before that. When the body has been in survival mode long enough, stress hormones tell the liver to release glucose on their own. No food required.

Picture a car with the accelerator pressed down. You can park it. You can change the tyres. You can walk away and lock the door. The engine still is not resting, because nobody took their foot off.

That is why I do not start with restriction. I start with recovery.

I am running a free 90 minute workshop this Saturday on the five things that actually drive blood sugar, and why four of them are almost never discussed.

Comment WORKSHOP and I will send you the link.
