Leaky gut syndrome:
Leaky gut syndrome is the root cause of many diseases we experience in our bodies.
The epithelial cells lining the small intestine are held together by tight occluding junctions, which act as a barrier. This helps keep the gut contents and the undigested food in the gut while allowing the transformed nutrients to pass through into the bloodstream.
When we consume packaged foods and junk foods, it feeds the harmful bacteria in our gut, which can damage these junctions and cause bigger gaps to form. The gut starts to leak undigested food, toxic waste and unhealthy bacteria into the bloodstream, which gets circulated to other organs.
In a desperate attempt to get rid of the toxins, the body tries to push them towards the surface of the skin, hoping to get rid of them through the pores in the form of sweat. But when the toxins are too big, they get deposited under the skin, triggering psoriasis, eczema, pimples, acne and other inflammatory conditions.
You will simply experience symptoms and discomfort, It leads to malabsorption of nutrients, food intolerances,
frequent colds and headaches due to weak immunity, leakage of calcium from your bones causing bone-related disorders, hormonal disruption causing thyroid issues, Hashimoto's disease, Graves, serious skin disorders, damage to the nervous system, triggering fibromyalgia (unexplained body aches and
pain), and other psychosomatic imbalances such as anxiety, stress and symptoms of depression. When toxins are leaked into the blood, the body also triggers an auto-immune reaction in response to these foreign substances and starts attacking all the good and bad cells. Your body is now in a state of conflict and at war with itself.
You will often experience a drop in your adrenals, fatigue, lack of energy no matter how well you eat and a loss of appetite.
The gut starts sending distress signals continuously to the brain, which can trigger headaches. Inflammation from the presence of leaked toxins, the build-up of gases from indigestion, and inflamed sinuses are other triggers for headaches.
A lack of helpful gut bacteria can also lead to an overgrowth of bad bacteria and trigger leaky gut syndrom.
