Today, my heart overflows with gratitude and love as I celebrate 20 incredible years of friendship with my friend Vaishnavi. Our bond is a masterpiece of laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories. From the carefree college days filled with silly jokes and endless giggles to the profound, heart-to-heart conversations we share today, our friendship has evolved into an unbreakable, soul-deep connection.

I'm forever grateful for the countless ways she's been there for me – through life's triumphs and tribulations, through every up and down. Her love and support have been my rock, my shelter, and my guiding light. The way she traveled all the way from Qatar to attend my wedding 13 years ago still brings tears of joy to my eyes.

As I look back on these 20 years, I'm reminded of the power of true friendship. Vaishnavi, you're more than just a friend – you're a sister, a confidante, a partner in crime, and a constant source of love, laughter, and adventure.

Happy Happy Birthday Vaish !!

Some friendships are rare, but ours is nothing short of magic—woven with the purest love, endless laughter, and memories that feel like a warm embrace. Mahalakshmi, my bestie since the age of three, today we stand at 36, carrying with us decades of love, mischief, and an unbreakable bond.

I still remember those carefree days, riding our cycles down Mahalakshmi Street in T. Nagar, the wind in our hair, hearts full of dreams. The early mornings spent squeezing into rickshaws on our way to school, the little rebellions of removing our hairbands before stepping back home, the endless afternoons practicing dance steps, hoping to be nothing less than perfect. We lived in a world of pretend play and creative games—ones this generation could never even imagine. Sundays meant cycling endlessly through the streets, feeling invincible, and weekdays were filled with playing kitchen sets, cooking up imaginary feasts, and dreaming about the future.

Through every phase of life, we’ve held on to each other—through childhood giggles, and adult struggles. You have been my safe space, my constant go to person in every way that matters.

As we celebrate your special day, I don’t just look back; I look forward to the next 36 years of friendship, love, and adventures that are still waiting for us.

Happy birthday, Maha! You are my heart’s keeper, my forever friend, and one of the greatest blessings of my life.

On a cool Sunday morning, as I stood by the kitchen counter preparing coffee, I found myself softly singing, “Do you know the muffin man, the muffin man, the muffin man?” Without even realizing it, I followed it up with "Are we there yet?" and then hummed "Chitti Chilakamma"—a Telugu rhyme that was once a daily part of our routine. As the words flowed, I paused, feeling a wave of nostalgia and wondering how these simple songs became so deeply embedded in my heart and mind.

I began to reflect on how, in those chaotic days when my daughters were babies, these rhymes were my lifeline—my little stress-busters, the melodies that calmed both them and me. Those precious moments, when I could make them giggle with a song, feel like they belong to another lifetime. Today, my daughters have outgrown those tunes, no longer seeking the comfort of rhymes or lullabies. Yet here I am, watching Cocomelon, not for them, but for myself. I find myself singing along, using those familiar tunes to relieve my stress, to reconnect with a time when everything felt simpler, when their tiny hands held mine, and the world was so much quieter.

Time moves so fast, it slips away before you even realize. It feels like just yesterday I was singing these songs to comfort my little ones, to make them smile, to ease the worries of motherhood. And now, those moments are gone, replaced by new routines, new challenges, and new memories. But these rhymes—they remain. They are a quiet, loving reminder of how precious those days were, and how quickly time has passed. As I sing these words today, they aren’t just memories; they’re a way for me to hold on to those beautiful moments and to cherish them a little longer.
