What is Double Cleansing?

With origins in the 10-step Korean skin care routine, the Double Cleanse means using two different cleansers — one with oil, followed by another with water — to try to get your face as clean as possible, without irritating your skin. 

Why should you Double Cleanse?

❤️ Remove Sunscreen & water-resistant products.
Products that are formulated to stay on the skin need a little extra love and care to get off the skin.

❤️ Removing makeup. An oil cleanser dissolves the oils and waxes used in makeup, and the surfactant in cleansers "pick up and carry away" dirt and makeup making it easy to rinse off.

❤️ Acne and/or problem skin. If you're prone to clogged pores, a double cleanse can help prevent those clogs by helping dissolve oil and providing a little extra mechanical exfoliation with your fingers. Try using a treatment cleanser for your second cleanse if you're addressing a skin concern.

❤️ Dry & sensitive skin. If your skin is extra dry, skip the regular foaming cleanser, and just use your cleansing oil/balm twice. I love doing this using Sutra Essentials Honey Cleansing Balm when my skin barrier is damaged. It's soft texture makes it ideal for facial massage as well. 

While on travel I prefer something light like Beauty Oil (mix of skin loving oils like Squalane, Argan oil). This is a multipurpose product that can be used on face,  body and hair.
