I Choose You {The Wedding Song}

LYRICS: Verse 1 //
You’re my always
You’re my forever
You’re my reality
You’re my sunshine
You’re my best times
You’re my anomaly

Pre-Chorus //
And I’d choose you
In a hundred lifetimes I’d choose you
In a hundred worlds I’d find You...

Chorus //
And I’d say, ā€œI doā€
For the rest of my life, with all that I have, I do
And I will
When the sky is falling, I promise you I’m all in,
No turning back.
Every day, every moment, Every breath you take...I choose you.

Verse 2 //
This is more than just a wedding, This is etched into eternity. With our union, We will move mountains, We will live on our knees

Pre-Chorus //
And He’d choose us
In a hundred lifetimes
He’d choose us
In a hundred worlds He’d find us...

Chorus //
And we’d say, ā€œWe doā€
For the rest of our lives, with all that we have we do
And we will
Until the sun turns black Until
He comes back
Riding on the clouds Every day, every moment, Every breath we take, We’ll choose You.

Bridge //
Look into my eyes dear
This is where it starts
I'll give you my whole heart for my whole life.

Chorus //
And I say, ā€œI doā€
For the rest of my life With all that I have, I do And I will
When the sky is falling, I promise you I’m all in,
No turning back.
Every day, every moment, Every breath you take... I choose you.

The rituals of a Hindu wedding are as colourful as the celebrations that ensue right from picking the most auspicious day and time according to the horoscope of the bride and the groom to the saath pheras they take around the holy fire. Each step has a deep philosophical and spiritual significance behind it. Whether you're a skeptic or a believer, understand the meaning behind these ancient rituals which could serve to bless you on your big day.
While the traditions vary from region to region, three key rituals are common: kanyadaan (when the father gives away his daughter), panigrahana (presence of the sacred fire) and saptapadi (the seven steps and oaths taken around the fire).
Wedding rituals :
Kanyadaan One of the most crucial steps in the wedding is the kanyadaan, which involves the bride's father giving her away to the groom. The bride's left hand is placed on top of her to-be-husband's right hand while the bride's
Vivaah Homa This rite involves the symbolic fire being lit by the groom to signify the start of a new household.
Saptapadi The bride and the groom's garments are tied together in a knot and they take seven circles around the sacred fire while promising to be each other's eternal mates in life's journey. The groom takes the lead in the first six rounds, while during the seventh, the bride walks ahead, symbolic of her now being part of his life. The final ritual is the reciting of the seven sacred vows - to respect and honour each other, to share their joys as well as their sorrows, to trust and be loyal, to inculcate appreciation for values and knowledge, to grow through familial and spiritual duties, to follow their dharma, and finally, to nurture their bond of love and friendship. After this, the newly-wedded couple looks towards their elders for blessings.
Vidaai The bride is given an emotional send-off by her family, and she throws three handfuls of rice and coins over her head which settles her debt to her parents for bringing her up with love and care. (Article from ELLE India and Photographs don't belong to us) @ Chandigarh, India

Ramadan Kareem Mubarak to Our Fellow Muslim Sisters and Brothers.... May this Ramadan bring peace to the aching hearts, hope to the aimless, and light to the lost... So come on and seek blessings, goodness, obedience, learning, and teaching as in the Religious knowledge and apply them in their daily life and work... May Allah grant them patience and strength to complete this month of forgiveness and mercy with prayers and fasting... Ameen.

The Nikah is the heart of a Muslim wedding. So what are some of the key things for you to know about Nikah? The main requirement is that there be a mutual agreement between the Bride and Groom to get married, two adult witnesses and a Mahr (dowry) gift for the bride. Also, a guardian representing the bride, a marriage contract, an Officiator of the marriage (an Imam, Qadi, or other person) who will recite the sermon and officiate the Nikah. Here are some of the key elements that make up the Nikah:
•The groom must offer a meaningful, but moderate gift to his future wife. It is something that the couple can agree upon ahead of the Nikah and/or in conjunction with the bride’s parents. It can be a monetary gift which is usually the case, but it does not have to be. It can be paid at the time of the Nikah or agreed to be given at a future point in time, e.g. taking the spouse for Umrah or Hajj.
•The Imam usually leads the Nikah with a short sermon (Khutab, Khutbah-tun-nikah). In it God is praised and the Imam will remind the gathering that this event is being conducted in the tradition of the Prophet (SAW).
•In the sermon the Imam reminds the bride, groom and guests to live a life of kindness, piety, mutual love, forgiveness, and responsibility.
•In the presence of two witnesses, the bride is then asked through her father or guardian her consent for the marriage and similarly the groom is asked his acceptance of both the bride, responsibility of marriage and Mahr (dowry).
•A written marriage contract needs to be completed. There are usually both Islamic and city/state registration documents that need to be signed.
•There after they are declared husband and wife in front of the community.
•The Nikah should be followed by a Walima, a simple reception for family, friends and the community. (Article on Perfectmuslimwedding and Photographs don't belong to us, used only for explaining.)

The Traditional Sikh Wedding, Anand Karaj or also know as Lava Phere, is normally a day event held in a 'Gurudwara Sahib'. The main ritual of a Sikh marriage is a very simple affair involving religious Keertan (Sikh Hymns) followed by 4 pheras (Rounds) around The Holy Sikh Book 'Guru Granth Sahib'. Every phera is completed with a hymn from the Guru Granth Sahib sung by the Granthis (Sikh Priests) of the 'Gurudwara Sahib'. During the final phera, the family and friends of the couple witnessing the occasion, shower the couple with flowers, post which they are reminded of their duties and responsibilities towards each other by the religious authorities of the Gurudwara Sahib. The Anand Karaj is closed with 'Ardaas', which is basically a prayer to the Sikh Guru for the well being and prosperity of the newly married couple. (Summary from Shaadi.com)
