Very often, I watched a catering team at a wedding quietly give an elderly thatha a chair, a small job, and a sense of dignity. It moved me deeply. I left a comment on their page…not to promote myself. Just to say: I see what you’re doing, and it’s beautiful.
I forgot about it.
A week later, Induja…their daughter, a doctor who manages their social media…messaged me. She had stumbled on that comment. The whole family had read it together. She was getting married. And she knew exactly who she wanted to do her makeup.
She didn’t need to see my portfolio. She had already seen my heart.
Months later, she sat in my chair as a bride. And all I could think was -
