Told your labs are fine? Told it is just your age? And you still do not feel fine?

You are probably in the dysfunction zone. Symptoms everywhere, nothing flagged, nothing treated. It is the longest and loneliest stretch, and most women live in it for years.

Comment READY and I will walk you through what to check next.

You can eat all day and still be malnourished.

Wild, right? But eating enough and being nourished are two different things. Just because food went in doesn’t mean nutrition reached your cells.

And this is where most of us get it wrong. We think it’s just about the plate. But your body doesn’t work like that. Your stress, your sleep, your gut, everything is talking to each other. Sleeping 5 hours? Your absorption drops. Stressed all the time? Your gut feels it first. And your gut is the one deciding how much of your food actually makes it to your cells.

So the thinning hair, the brain fog, the 4 p.m. crash was never about eating less or eating wrong. It’s about what your body is actually absorbing.

Go back to the signs above and identify which one felt a little too familiar? That’s your starting point.

Get your blood test done. Take supplements only if you actually need them. And if something shows up low, don’t just pop a pill and move on. Ask why it went low in the first place. That’s where actual healing starts.

Tell me in the comments, which sign did you relate to most?

Most people leave a cardiology appointment focused on one number that is LDL. And while LDL matters, the research tells a more complete story.

What actually predicts cardiovascular risk more reliably:

Age: the older you are, the more the cardiovascular system has been exposed to inflammation, oxidative stress, and hormonal shifts. Age is not something you can change, but it is a reason to start paying attention earlier rather than later.

Low HDL: HDL is the cholesterol that clears excess from your arteries. When it is low, that clearing process slows down. A high LDL with a high HDL looks very different on a risk profile than a high LDL with a low HDL. Most standard reports do not explain this distinction.

Low free testosterone is linked to insulin resistance, leading to glycation and hardening of the artery walls.

The point is not to ignore LDL. It is to stop looking at it in isolation. A single number without context is not a complete picture of your heart health.

This matters because of what usually happens next. LDL comes back high, and the consult ends with a statin. For someone at genuinely high risk, that is the right call and the benefit is real. But statins are not free of side effects. Muscle aches are the most common complaint. Less often they can raise liver enzymes or push blood sugar up slightly. Not everybody with a high LDL is a candidate for a statin. So before you start, ask your doctor to actually calculate your cardiovascular risk, not just read out one line from your lipid profile. And if you are already on a statin and something feels off, that is a conversation with your doctor, not a reason to stop on your own.

Save this and share it with someone who only ever gets one number checked.

She’s eating less and training harder than she did at 25. And gaining weight anyway. Her body changed. Her approach didn’t.

She came to me exhausted, frustrated, and convinced she was doing something wrong.

She was exercising five times a week. Eating carefully. Getting eight hours of sleep. And still gaining weight, bloating by 2pm, and running on cortisol and caffeine.

The problem was not what she was doing. It was that her body at 40 needed something completely different from what worked at 25.

I started looking, at her gut, her hormones, her blood sugar, her stress load, the picture became clear. And when I addressed those things, everything she had been fighting started to shift on its own.

This is what I do. Root-cause, gut-first wellness, for women whose body has stopped responding to the old rules.

If this sounds like you, I am glad you found this page.

Eating all your protein at dinner is not the flex you think it is.

Your body can only use about 25 to 30 grams of protein at a time for muscle repair. Beyond that, in one sitting, the extra isn’t used the same way. So loading up only at dinner means you’re missing the window at breakfast and lunch, even if your daily total looks “high enough” on paper.

Spread it out instead. Dahi or eggs in the morning, dal or paneer at lunch, and a protein source at dinner works better than stacking it all at the end of the day.

Total matters. Timing matters more.

Save this and check your own day.

Free testosterone is one of the most overlooked markers in a standard blood panel, especially for men over 40.

Most doctors check total testosterone. But free testosterone is what your body actually uses, and low levels quietly raise your risk of insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic decline long before any obvious symptoms show up.

The number to ask for: free testosterone between 15 and 25 ng/dl is the optimal range. If your report just says “normal” without giving you that specific number, ask again.

Low free testosterone is linked to glycation and arterial stiffness, two things that sit at the root of both diabetes and heart disease. It is not just about muscle or energy, though those suffer too.

If you are over 40 and your last blood panel did not include this, it is worth adding to your next one.

Send this to your dad, brother, friend or anyone that you care about. It’s more important than you think!

Your AMH report is one number. It doesn’t tell you why it’s low.

In functional medicine we look upstream. Chronic inflammation, poor gut health, thyroid imbalance, nutrient gaps, ongoing stress. All of these quietly affect your ovarian environment and egg quality.

This drink won’t change your AMH overnight, but it gives your eggs a better environment to mature in: better blood flow, less oxidative stress, steadier blood sugar.

Have it 3 to 4 times a week as part of a bigger root cause plan.

Struggling with low AMH and told to “just try IVF”? There’s more to look at first. DM me.

Grateful for Resham Karamchandani’s trust and kind words ❤️

A wellness journey doesn’t have to feel restrictive or overwhelming.

Sometimes, the most meaningful changes come from understanding your body better, building a healthier relationship with food, and making small, sustainable shifts that fit into your life.

Better sleep, mindful food choices, and feeling more balanced are all signs of progress.

Because wellness isn’t about following a perfect plan. It’s about feeling supported, understood, and guided towards what works best for you.
