📍The Jallianwala Bagh massacre happened on 13 April 1919 in Amritsar during British rule.
Thousands of peaceful people had gathered to protest and celebrate Baisakhi.
British officer Reginald Dyer ordered soldiers to fire on the unarmed crowd without warning.
• Hundreds were killed and many more injured.
• People had no escape because the garden had narrow exits.
• This tragic event shook the whole nation and became a turning point in India’s freedom struggle.
