*M***i Faiz-ul-Waheed, who first translated Quran into Gojri language passes away*

Srinagar, June 1 (GNS): Renowned Jammu-based Islamic scholar M***i Faiz-ul-Waheed, who first translated Quran into Gojri language, has passed away in a Jammu hospital on Tuesday, officials said.

M***i Faiz-ul-Waheed was admitted at Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Science (ASCOMS) Jammu and died days after his tests returned negative for the covid-19.

Confirming it, Medical Superintendent ASCOMS Dr Rajinder Ratan Pal told GNS M***i Faiz-ul-Waheed died at 7:30 a.m.
He was on ‘life-supporting system with multiple organ failure’ since his admission to the health facility.

A colleague of the ailing scholar told GNS that ‘M***i Sahab’ had fallen ill nearly a week before and was however taken to the hospital on May 23.
M***i Faiz-ul-Waheed was born in 1966 in Dodhasan Bala in Rajouri district and was accredited for being the first Islamic scholar to translate the Holy Quran into Gojri language. The scholar had also authored several booklets including ‘Siraj-um-Muneera’, ‘Ahkam-e-Mayyat’ and ‘Namaz Kae Masayil Quran-o-Hadees Ki Roshni Mei’.

The acclaimed scholar an authority in Fiqh – Islamic Jurisprudence (Sharia Law) – in the city of Jammu was also patron of an Islamic seminary Madrassa Markaz Maarif Ul Quran in Medina Hill, Bhatindi in Jammu. (GNS)

DODA, JANUARY 25: - Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna, Sarshad Natnoo today demanded restoration of 4G speed mobile internet on the eve of Republic Day celebrations.

"The people of J&K should be given gift by the Government of India by restorating the high speed mobile internet. Hon'ble Lt. Government Manoj Sinha who heads the administration in J&K should make the announcement on the day when entire nation would be celebrating the Republic Day," said Natnoo hoping the people will not be deprived of 4G internet speed.

Natnoo said that the ban on high speed internet has taken J&K 30 years back as the economic activities, tourism and mainly studies of the students have been affected adversley.

Natnoo said that permitting high speed internet to J&K should not be treated as special package, but it’s a constitutional right for the people of the erstwhile state.

"This Repubilc Day, the Lt Government should end the restrication keeping in view the larger interest of the people and J&K. Not only did the studies of the students have affected, but all the sectors have equal affect on the growth of J&K," he added.

The Chairperson, Block Development Council, Gundna contragulated the fellow country men on the occassion of Republic Day and prayed for the peace and prosparity of the nation.

Resignation from the post of Block President INC BLOCK KASTIGARH.

Esteemed Sir,

With due reverences and humble submission, I , Abdul Gani Butt Chairperson BDC Block Kastigarh, submit resignation from the post of " BLOCK PRESIDENT INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS KASTIGARH " On the following grounds:-

That INC district committee Doda issued mandate to a person who joined in our party only a day before election and our distt committee handed over him mandate of INC for DDC KASTIGARH while neglecting/ignoring the proposal which was submitted by me to provide the mandate to the old workers of INC instead of AnnuRadha Chib .
So majority of our workers are unhappy with the disbursement of mandate and all they compel and put pressure on me to explain the issue how INC provided mandate to a person who joined with the sole ill intention of getting his mandate and deviating the party from main objectives it has to achieve (The only benefits of common masses).

That it is very clear the mandate was disbursed without taking the prior consent of our block level body.

It is therefore requested to your good self to accept my resignation from the post of Block President INC BLOCK KASTIGARH .
