In mid 2001 a group of likeminded people, wanting to promote beauty, talents of this region all the way to national recognition got together as North East Beauty Forum and set up 'Miss Luit' beauty pageant. MESSAGE TO ALL THE VOTERS
There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the nature of this contest so us clear it up:
1. Miss Luit is a beauty pageant and not an online popularity contest. Divas like Monikankana Dutta, Akonuou Khezie, Sangeeta Borah and many more have emerged from this contest.
2. The online voting contest is for a subtitle titled 'Miss Social Network' under the main pageant. So relax, if your favorite doesn't get the highest votes, it doesn't mean she cannot win the main contest.
3. We agree that the voting system on facebook can be easily manipulated through 'like for likes', 'group likes' and other such ways and looking at the misuse of those this year - we will work towards changing the format next year. As for the current year, we will take the top 3 most voted girls and conduct a lottery before the results to determine the winner of the 'online contest'
