📢 BIG UPDATE FOR NEET UG ASPIRANTS – UTTARAKHAND

🏥 Two new Government Medical Colleges are expected to start MBBS admissions after NMC approval:

1. Pt. Ram Sumer Shukla Government Medical College

📍 Rudrapur, Uttarakhand
🎓 Proposed MBBS Seats: 100

2. Government Medical College Pithoragarh

📍 Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand
🎓 Proposed MBBS Seats: 100

✅ Total New MBBS Seats Added: 200

According to recent reports, the Uttarakhand government has applied to the National Medical Commission (NMC) for recognition of both colleges. After NMC approval and inspection, both institutions are expected to begin admissions with 100 MBBS seats each. This would increase the state's MBBS seat count from approximately 1,125 to 1,325 seats.

What this means for NEET UG 2026 students

✔️ More Government MBBS seats in Uttarakhand
✔️ Better chances in State Counselling
✔️ New colleges likely to appear in counselling after NMC approval
