Minimal packaging isn’t less work. It’s less forgiveness.
When there’s one line of white type on bare kraft, every flaw is the only thing on the surface. A crease landing slightly off. A fold that bows. Ink density drifting between the start and the end of a run. On a busy box nobody sees any of it. On this one, it’s the entire design.
Two sizes, and the type had to carry the same optical weight on both — which meant setting it twice rather than scaling it once. Scaled type looks wrong at the second size and most people can’t say why.

The hardest part of this box was not the print. It was the pull.
A drawer box has to open smoothly the first time, every time — cold hands, in a hurry, one-handed. Too tight and it feels cheap. Too loose and it works itself open in transit.
Rigid board, side-pull drawer, die-cut insert sized to each piece. No tape, no tearing, no plastic in the structure.

Small order, same standard.
Offset printing needs plates, and plates cost the same whether you are running two hundred boxes or twenty thousand. Below a certain volume the setup costs more than the packaging — which is why so many small brands end up with a stock box and a sticker.
Digital press removes the plate cost entirely. Same board, same lamination, same finishing. Only the press changes.

Anyone can print a black box.
The part nobody sees: a die-cut EVA foam cradle, tolerance tight enough that the bottle sits at an angle and doesn’t shift in transit. Then croc-embossed paper over board, gold foil on black — the least forgiving combination in finishing.
A box shouldn’t need instructions. It should open the way it was meant to.
