Fruits Are Healthy — But How Much Is Too Much?
Fruits are healthy 🍎 But healthy doesn’t mean unlimited — portion still matters.
As a dietitian, this is how I usually guide fruit intake based on body goals 👇
✅ Daily Fruit Intake (General) 2–3 servings per day works well for most people.
🍎 What 1 Fruit Serving Looks Like
* Apple / Orange / Pear: 1 medium (120–150 g)
• Banana: ½–1 small (80–100 g)
* Papaya / Watermelon / Muskmelon: 1 cup (120–150 g)
• Mango: ½ cup (100 g)
• Guava: 1 small (100–120 g)
• Berries: ½–1 cup
⚖️ Fruit Intake Based on Body Type 🔸 Overweight / Obese 1–2 servings per day
* Prefer low–moderate GI fruits
• Avoid large fruit bowls and fruit-only meals
🔸 Healthy Weight
* 2–3 servings per day
* Spread across the day, not all at once
🔸 Underweight / High Activity
• 3–4 servings per day
* Combine fruits with nuts, peanut butter or seeds for better calorie balance
💡 Tip Fruit quality matters, but portion + timing decide:
* energy levels
* hunger control
* blood sugar response
* fat loss progress You don’t need to stop fruits — just eat them smartly.

Signs Your Body Is Overheated ☀️
During hot weather, your body loses water and electrolytes through sweat, which can lead to fatigue, headaches, dehydration, and digestive discomfort. If you notice these symptoms, your body may simply be asking for hydration and cooling foods.
Here are a few signs to watch for and what you can eat or drink to help your body recover 👇
⚠️ Extreme Thirst Try drinking coconut water and eating water-rich foods like watermelon or cucumber. These foods help restore fluids and support hydration.
⚠️ Low Energy or Fatigue Buttermilk and bananas can help replenish electrolytes and provide quick energy.
⚠️ Headache or Dizziness Lemon water with a pinch of salt can help restore electrolytes, while fruits like muskmelon provide hydration and vitamin C.
⚠️ Feeling Heavy or Bloated Mint water, jeera water, and yogurt-based foods can support digestion and help cool the body.
✨ Simple summer habits to stay healthy:
• Drink enough water
• Include seasonal fruits
• Add probiotic foods like curd or buttermilk
• Avoid excessive sugary drinks Listening to your body and making small food choices can help you stay energized and hydrated during hot weather.
