The tannins in tea and coffee can bind to iron and zinc in your food, reducing how much your body absorbs. This can increase the risk of anemia and low immunity over time.

Causes acidity and heartburn:
After a meal, stomach acid is already high. Caffeine and acids in tea and coffee add more acid, which can cause heartburn, sour taste, bloating, and discomfort.

Slows down digestion:
