Do you know..! Why Raja is Celebrated and What is the significance of the Raja Festival?

Raja festival is celebrated on Mithuna Sankranti marking the start of the Season of Rain through the second day of the Festival. This Festival pays tribute to the menstrual cycle and Womanhood with the Raja Parba or Festival. During a menstrual cycle, Mother Earth undergoes three days of menstruation, these three days of the cycle of menstruation ends on the fourth day which is the Basumati Gaadhua, this ceremony is a Ritualistic Bath of Mother Earth.
