Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has inaugurated its fourth manufacturing unit in Malanpur, Madhya Pradesh, marking an important milestone in its 35-year manufacturing journey in the state.
The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan Yadav, other dignitaries from the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Nisaba Godrej, Executive Chairperson, Godrej Consumer Products Limited, and Aasif Malbari, Managing Director & CEO, Godrej Consumer Products Limited.
With this expansion, the Malanpur site is now Asia’s largest integrated soap manufacturing facility and an important multi-category manufacturing hub for GCPL, producing soaps, hair colours, household insecticides, and more.
Designed around advanced automation, sustainability, and inclusive manufacturing, the facility strengthens Godrej Consumer Products Limited's ability to serve consumers at scale while building on a manufacturing presence that has grown over three decades.

Godrej Industries Group has signed an MoU with the Government of Haryana, in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, outlining future investments of approximately ₹20,000 crore in the state, with the potential to create around 40,000 jobs.
The MoU marks an important next phase in our partnership with Haryana and reflects our confidence in the state’s long-term growth potential.

Last week, the Anil Dharker Literature Live! Independence Lecture, presented by Godrej Industries, brought one of India’s most pertinent questions into focus: the health gap across India.
Dr Gagandeep Kang, public health virologist, delivered the lecture, drawing from her own journey to take us deeper into the data, research, and analysis behind child health and mortality.
This was followed by a conversation with Dr Jehangir Sorabjee, honorary physician and professor of medicine at Bombay Hospital, widening the discussion to public health, medical ethics, and the systems that shape the care people receive.
The inspired audience brought its own questions and perspectives, taking the conversation further into antibiotics, meritocracy, medical education, research, and the ways environment and circumstance shape health.
It was an evening of data, dialogue, and difficult questions, leaving us with much to reflect on about the health of India.

Today, Nadir Godrej, fondly known to us as NBG, completes his tenure as Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group and steps into the role of Chairman Emeritus.
Earlier this week, senior leaders from across our businesses came together for Santé, NBG - an evening celebrating two significant milestones: his 50 years with Godrej, and his 75th birthday later this month.
Through photographs, stories, a candid conversation and the launch of a new website bringing together his collection of poems, the evening celebrated the many dimensions of NBG - scientist, industrialist, poet, mentor and leader.
