The mantra to a natural looking makeup on mature skin is - less is more. Just highlight the best features (here eyes and lips) and use as less product as possible to achieve that natural looking makeup look. If you go on applying more product to hide any dips/bumps/lines on the face, the base will become cakey. Makeup can only correct the discoloration on the face making it look even and therefore reducing the appearance of these dips, bumps and lines.

Wanted to do my own makeup for my wedding functions but my family suggested otherwise and I gave in. But when I got a chance to repurpose my outfits for my brother-in-law's wedding functions I was so thrilled to finally see myself in my own art. This one is from Sangeet night. Haldi ready!
Tulika barely got time to prepare for her wedding. All her outfits were purchased by her family. She travelled from London a few days before her wedding. For haldi, she hated a huge can-can in this outfit. We decided to cut the can-can away last minute and stuck to a fresh day look for her makeup and kept the hair open with curls, added some fresh baby's breath. Love how this look turned out😍

Haldi is one event where as a bride you can truly experiment with your look. Do not miss getting ready for this event because with that beautiful day light and colorful decor you will get some beautiful shots. Hair can definitely be experimented with for this particular event because eventually the face will be smeared with haldi & hair will be the only thing standing out. If you are a person who likes to experiment with color in makeup then go all out for this event. You can also experiment with floral jewellery, gota patti/shell jewellery, oxidised jewellery, fresh flowers depending on your choice of clothing.

Pro tip: keep nail polish remover handy because the haldi tend to stain the nails. Even if you have gotten gel polish done, a normal nail paint remover can be used to remove the haldi stain without ruining your nail art
