The body is divided in 3 parts according to Dosha predominance. The upper 1/3rd is of Kapha predominance, the mid area (between heart and umbilicus) is of Pitta predominance and the area below umbilicus is considered to be of Vata predominance. It benefits sore throat, hoarseness of voice, cough, diseases of the tongue and throat. Hence the tablet should be dissolved in mouth for proper therapeutic effect.
