I lived and experienced traditional wellness as a way of life till marriage. Post that my husband and I went to UK to do our MBA, with the intention of joining his family steel business. Life was full, busy and exactly what we had planned for.
Then the kids came. And with them came everything that is joyful, chaotic and completely consuming as a mother. Every day was exciting, warm and wonderful.
What also came was their usual colds , coughs and occasional fevers. And like any young parent I did what everyone around me was doing , I went to the doctor and followed the prescription to the T . Yes it was useful but then how long medication, why not work naturally on their immunity keeping meds for sos only .
I remember calling my mother and asking her something I had never thought to ask before- ‘Maa, when we were growing up, you rarely gave us medicine. How did you manage us as a young mother ?’
