YES you heard it right! Your voice does change while you're menstruating. The change of voice is result of the female reproductive hormones. Many of you might notice that your voice is horase and a bit rough, it's because there is high fluid content in your throat membranes due to water retention. As the days pass, the body sheds off the fluid and your voice turns back to normal. Although women who are on medication for PCOS/ PCOD don't notice these changes.

Meet our very own environment activist Saalumarada Thimmakka, a 107-year-old woman whose life revolves around planting trees and mothering them to life. A Padma awardee, Thimmakka’s life is a lesson in fighting all odds. She has been working since childhood and was unable to get a chance at formal education. After marriage, she and her husband found that they could not have children. But Thimmakka did not allow this to deter her spirit. The couple decided to plant trees along a stretch near their village, as they believed that planting trees was a great service to the environment, country and to the humanity. Today, Saalumarada Thimmakka is a living embodiment of courage and determination, who refused to let life deter her spirit. We are truly inspired and salute the determination and dedication of Saalumarada Thimmakka.
