Where do I begin to enlist the issues with the old crowns on the front 2 teeth of this girl. Firstly, they were joint to eachother which is a torture on the gums between the teeth which thus reacted with a swelling. The shape was bulky, the colour didnt match, the midline was crooked, the incisal edge was canted, there was no emergence profile and the adjacent teeth were sliced in the process making them lose proportion.
I changed the old zirconia crowns with 2 separate lithium disilicate crowns. Restored the adjacent teeth with direct composite to harmonize the proportions. As you can see the gums are very happy and so is the dentist :-)

Direct composite restoration of a fractured tooth due to past trauma. Simple, conservative and pleasing.

Lateral incisors are my favorite teeth to restore. This tooth was slightly tilted and overlapping the adjacent central incisors. So instead of straightening it, I restored it to how it was before.

Another hidden monster cavity restored with direct composite.
These cavities appear small, shallow and are usually painless. But they can burrow into the tooth resulting in a huge cavity which could suddenly turn painful.
Best treated when asymptomatic.

Porcelain Veneers to the rescue.
Fractured incisors restored with ceramic Veneers. They integrate well with the smile, and are easy to maintain and reasonably durable.

Replacing old composite restoration to a more natural looking one, done in a single appointment. It not only looks better but also ensures a good health of the gums and a better hygiene.

Sometimes the best thing you can do to get a good smile is just a cleanup.. And its also good for oral health.. Win win..
