Every time I share the art of perfumery,
I’m reminded that scent is not just about perfume —
it’s about moments, stories, and the joy of creation.

Last week in Mumbai, I conducted a 2 day workshop for the Brand Managers in the Beauty & Wellbeing team at India. The objective of the workshop was two folded, 1 - Creating Desire with Fragrances & 2 - Creating Fragrances as per a Brief.

These workshop sessions are very interactive and encourage the participants to smell different odours and describe them in words and the emotions each odour can evoke. Then each participant becomes a perfumer for the day to create their personal fragrances.
Throughout the sessions, I also use a lot of trivia, quiz and personal anecdotes to share a bit of the mystery and secrecy surrounding this artistic field of fine perfumery.

Apart from achieving the objectives set out by the client, by tailoring the workshops as per their requirements, these sessions also work greatly in team building exercises.

I believe this experience was immersive, unique, and truly memorable for the entire team.

This imagined fragrance, The Scent Of Unity, is how I would encapsulate the very essence of India's aromatic heritage. 

Emanating with top notes of Saffron - an anthem of courage that ignites our nation's soul, followed by the gentle caress of Jasmine, a symbol of purity echoing the compassionate heart of our land. In its lingering essence, we unearth our roots - the grounding aroma of sandalwood and vetiver, a testament to the equilibrium we pursue in our journey towards progress and abundance.

Through the year, I took short trips with my family and they were much needed breaks.

As an entrepreneur, I can strongly vouch for the fact that breaks are an essential medium to become more productive, induce creativity and work more sustainably.

In addition to this, spending time with your family - be it going on walks with your prayer or playing games with your kids, is always a good idea!

Fragrances are personal & one should be given the freedom to choose their own!
