Castor Oil Benefits ( picture shows the plant)
💧 Castor oil is a good source of Vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids.
💧 More than 90% of castor oil’s fatty acid content is ricinoleic acid which is an omega-9 fatty acid shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties
💧 It is a common ingredient in many beauty products. It’s rich in essential fatty acids that moisturize the skin and have healing properties.
💧 It is a safe and effective natural laxative.
💧 Castor oil is a triglyceride that has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. It helps in wound healing.
💧 Castor oil also fights fungal infections, which may help relieve hard-to-treat fungal acne, or any fungal infection like in toe nails.
💧 Castor oil is helpful in the treatment of melasma, dandruff, and ringworm.

Fermented Rice Water - This s**t works people!! 😮😁
I had achieved hair growth by using various herbal oils, even soft and silky hair, but nothing was stopping the hair fall.
This rice water stopped hair fall right in its tracks!!! In FIRST USE!!! Yes, you read that right.
I used it neat on my hair, as a pre-shampoo treatment. Dipped all my hair in it, as well as massaged it into the scalp. Kept it on for an hour and a half. And shampooed my hair.
I noticed much softer hair. With shine. Less frizz. More volume. And ONLY 20 STRANDS fell when I combed it. This has not happened to me in ages!!! And only a couple of strands while shampooing, towel drying, etc. I just can't believe it. Its like MAGIC.
Rice water has a plethora of nutrients in it, so I am not surprised that it should work. But in one use?!! That's totally unexpected. Will write up a post soon on what this magic potion contains.

Fermented Rice Water
Rice has numerous benefits for skin and hair. Rice water has been used by Yao women for ages, and said to be the secret behind their long, black, thick mane of hair.
Fermentation process further adds to the nutritional profile of rice water by the action of friendly bacteria and yeast. Fermented rice water is great as a hair growth spray or as an after shampoo conditioning rinse. Its pH is perfect for hair, somewhere between 5-5.5. It can be diluted before using for people with sensitive skin or allergies.
I testing this batch to see how long it will keep without adding any preservatives.
Comment below if you have used rice water and if so, how was your experience?

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it would be that we are the cause of all the pollution on this earth. During lockdown in North India, the skies turned a deep azure blue, the air still had a bite in April, the summers were mild, the rivers and water bodies became crystal clear.
It gave us time for reflection and some serious introspection about where we are headed as a species. The following months saw an increasing demand for "natural" stuff, whatever it means to different people. I too read up the ingredients on most products I had in my possession, and found a long list of very harmful chemicals in most big brand cosmetics. I slowly reduced and/or discontinued using commercial soaps, moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, toothpaste almost completely and experimented with many herbal DIY remedies. I started making soap as a hobby. I love the freedom to design them, to add my favourite herbs, extracts, clays, oils etc. I expanded to creams, body butters, scrubs, hair oil and now shampoo. It gives me peace of mind, knowing what I am putting on and into my body. This is how Herbalism was born.
