Patient Dies at SMHS Hospital, Family Seeks Justice
Rifat Jan, a resident of Chulni, Lal Chowk and wife of Mehraj Din Bhat, reportedly passed away at SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, at around 3:00 AM on 10 September 2026.
Following the incident, family members raised concerns regarding the treatment and alleged that the cardiologist was unavailable when they believed medical assistance was required.
The family has appealed for a fair inquiry and clarity regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.
The family also expressed gratitude to the J&K Police for handling the situation and said they were
