Downward Dog Pose or Downward-facing Dog Pose, also called Adho Mukha Shvanasana, is an inversion asana, often practised as part of a flowing sequence of poses, especially Surya Namaskar, the Salute to the Sun. The asana is commonly used in modern yoga as exercise. It strengthens on Arms and Legs. Stretches your whole body, and makes you feel relax.

When we meditate, the mind settles down, and we get in touch with our inner Self from where we can channelize the prana.
Meditation can propel the prana, which is lying dormant in the Muladhara Chakra up to the Sahasrara Chakra, with the spinal cord acting as a pipeline.
When even a tiny particle of energy reaches the Sahasrara Chakra, we experience bliss and absolute joy.

Salamba Shirshasana, or Yoga Headstand is an inverted asana in modern yoga as exercise; it was described as both an asana and a mudra in classical hatha yoga, under different names. It has been called the king of all asanas.
