Sea Lions - Höfn - Iceland

It was painful to look at those trash.🫣 We couldn't just stand by, so we cleaned up our shared spot for relaxing and having fun.🌿

Sometimes the best things are right in front of us, and we don't even realize it.🤷‍♂️

We took a short 15minute drive from Höfn and stumbled upon this magical spot: perfect for a picnic, some relaxation, and a little bit of fun!🥳

Sheltered from the wind, perfectly sunny, with crystal-clear water and just the right depth for jumping in.😉

The crew was happy and our batteries are fully recharged now.
.. though to be honest, I'm already craving round two! ☀️💦✨😁

What a wonderful trip to Hvannagil. Along the way, it turned out that our presence there was no coincidence - we pulled a car out of a ditch.🥳 Then, after a successful rescue, we went to a lake formed by a volcanic eruption. It’s a beautiful, peaceful area, surrounded by hills on all sides.

However, that definitely wasn't enough for the group, so we headed to the nearest river for a cold plunge. It always makes me happy when everyone is having a great time, talking, getting to know each other better, and most importantly, laughing a lot.

That is exactly how it was this time, and I want to thank everyone who was there.

A trip to Vestrahorn in the sunshine with a wonderful group of people to see the film set of the 2022 movie "Godland" (Volaða Land).

Did everything go according to plan?
Well, not exactly.😅 Turns out, the two buildings put up for the movie had already been torn down.🫣 Instead, we stumbled upon a brand new film set by the very same director!😮 We also visited the remains of the British military base stationed at Vestrahorn during World War II.

We took the scenic route and spent over 5 hours on the trail covering 7 km. 🚶🚶‍♀️

Beautiful scenery, perfect weather, and great company.🥳

What a fantastic trip to Mýri! A local guide (Ari), a place I’d never been before, and even one life saved (check comments to see more). That’s the best way to sum up this excursion, organized as a collaborative project between Bjarnanesprestakall and the Austur-Skaftfellingar Hiking Association.

The only thing missing was a place for a freezing cold plunge 😉.
