This former textiles factory building is located in the heart of the city of Como at the southern most tip of the western branch of the lake. Arranged around a central courtyard, the building is front and center within the bustle of the city streets and within easy reach of the spectacular lakefront and mountain sights. Restored with a subtle hand, the historic features remain intact with double height timbered ceilings, rugged stone walls and newly crafted finishes with subtle modern retrofits that don't detract from the buildings original character. Expansive and open, the interiors have a quiet intimacy, with two mezzanine levels that divide the living and sleeping quarters. The main floor is bright and sunny with large windows and warm wood floors with both a lounge and separate dining area off of the fully equipped modern kitchen. The second level mezzanine features the loft bedroom and office space with balconies overlooking the floors below. Punctuated with a few key pieces of contemporary furnishings and colorful pops of color, the decor is kept to a minimum creating a simple and stylish retreat. Bath amenities and linens.
