This past week at Troop Time, our USO center was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the comforting smell of home-cooked food.
For many active-duty service members, daily life involves long hours, high stress, and being miles away from family. That’s why weekly events like Troop Time matter so much. During their midday break, troops dropped in to grab a hearty meal, relax over games, listen to music, and connect with their peers.
It’s more than just lunch—it’s a reminder that America stands behind them every single step of their service journey.

🎉 July Volunteer of the Month: Shanna Feroni 🎉

Shanna has only been in Naples for a few months, but she's already made an impression that will last a lot longer than that. Since arriving, she's jumped into volunteering across multiple events, showing up again and again with the same energy and enthusiasm every time.

If you've been to Troop Time, there's a good chance you've experienced Shanna firsthand, whether that's chatting with her at an event or eating lunch while her playlist sets the vibe for the whole room. It's a small thing that makes a big difference, and it's just one example of how she shows up for this community.

Volunteers like Shanna are what make programs like Troop Time feel less like an event and more like a gathering of friends. Her willingness to dive in, get involved, and bring her own personality to every event has made her a favorite in a short amount of time, and honestly, it's easy to see why.

Congrats, Shanna, and thank you for everything you do. Naples is lucky to have you, and we can't wait to see what you bring to the next event!

Last night's Tacos and Tie Dye at the BEQ was a blast 🌮

Our single and unaccompanied service members came out to grab some tacos, get creative with some tie dye, and just hang out with each other for a bit. Nights like this are all about giving folks a place to unwind, connect, and make something fun with people who get it.

Huge thank you to NSA Naples MWR for partnering with us to make it happen, and to our amazing volunteers who kept the tacos coming and the dye flowing. We couldn't do it without you.
