*Respect for God & the space*: Lots of people treat church like meeting someone important. You’d dress up a bit for a wedding or interview. Same idea - your clothes signal “this matters” without saying a word.

*Respect for others*: Going more modest/neutral helps keep focus on worship, not outfits. It’s a way of saying “I see you” to people around you, especially kids and older folks with different comfort levels.

*Mindset shift for you*: Getting dressed with intention can actually change how you show up. It’s like a physical cue: “I’m leaving daily stuff at the door and being present.” Many people find they pray/focus better when they’re not in gym shorts.

*But the balance*: Most churches today care way more about your heart than your hemline. You won’t get turned away in jeans at 90% of churches. The value is in the _attitude_ - clean, neat, not distracting. Jesus’ main point was always “come as you are,” not “come in designer.”
