A small salon growing & hoping to become an established multi-million dollar company. Catering to daily hair care and transitioning to care of the body
The beauty industry has become one where anyone can watch a few videos and call themselves a professional.
Meanwhile, clients are dealing with damaged hair, chemical burns, infections, poor customer service and expensive correction appointments.
We need to start valuing education as much as we value talent
As a cosmetology educator, I see firsthand why education matters:
☑️ Talent is a gift, but knowledge is what protects clients.
☑️Formal training develops technical skills, professional ethics, customer service.
☑️ Safety practices are skills every beauty professional should have.
HERE IS THE HARD TRUTH:
• Customer service isn’t optional.
• Healthy hair, skin and nails require knowledge; not guesswork.
• Watching tutorials doesn’t make you a professional.
• The beauty industry deserves higher standards.
