Witnessing the world’s second-largest Hindu temple is a true perspective shifter. I started to see it while my GPS picked it up from a mile out, but seeing it up close is a different story. I’ll definitely be back when the weather warms up to see that reflecting pool

Story time!⠀
⠀
Growing up, I never wore purses. My mom would beg me to borrow one of her purses, and overall just to be more feminine now that I think about it. 😂 Anyway, half of the reason I never borrowed them was that her purses were super expensive, so I didn’t want to damage them. The other half of it was fear. Yes, fear. Fear that someone would see me and deem that I shouldn’t have access to nice things like my mother had. That someone would take it from me, or question if it’s real because I was so young.⠀
⠀
Now that I am much older, I take pride in being able to afford material things on my own.⠀
I take pride in dressing more feminine, and expressing myself through my style. I’m still working on caring less about what others think, but also understanding when to be bold and when to be subtle.⠀
⠀
Here are a few tips I have picked up along the way to look less flamboyant while wearing luxury fashion pieces:⠀
⠀
✨If your stuff may get ruined or stolen, just leave it at home. There is a time and a place for everything. Part of caring for your stuff is protecting it. You can’t enjoy yourself when you are overprotecting your accessories.⠀
✨Keep it subtle. You don’t need to be overly branded from head to toe. I stick to no more than 2 bold pieces at a time in one outfit.⠀
✨Wear what brings you joy, and don’t worry about what others may think. TBH, no one really cares that much about YOU. People care less about you than you think. Some brands may come with recognition, but that is as far as it goes.⠀
✨Luxury accessories only enhance your outfit, they do not make the outfit. Luxury doesn’t mean that it looks nice. Get items you like. Don’t get items because there is a hype.⠀
⠀
Do you remember the first item you really saved up for? What was it?⠀

At the top of the year, you can tend to feel a lot of pressure, to reach a big goal, or accomplish something big.⠀
⠀
It is important to remember to scale your goals, and REST!⠀
⠀
Try out these looks on your next day of rest. Some call it a lazy day, I call it a day of rest 😇. Whatever you call it look good doing it. ⠀

Some “rich auntie” energy for your timeline...🃏⠀
⠀
⠀
When searching for your style, don’t take yourself too seriously. Play around with trendy items, and staples. Incorporate different colors and cuts, until you find the look that works for you. ⠀
⠀
For me, purple felt regal. Purple felt... like a bougie rich auntie 😜⠀

Welcome to the first Monday of 2021! ⠀
⠀
For some, the end of 2020 and the start of 2021 can literally feel the same. For others, this new year may feel like an opportunity to reset.⠀
⠀
Just want to remind you to continue the momentum and never give up. Instead, you can try something new, or try something different, as long as you continue towards your goals.⠀
⠀
Thank you for the support in 2020, look out for some new changes this year! Hope to see you along the journey😉⠀
