💥 Ingrown nail again? Yes — and here’s why it happens.

This young man has been our client for a long time. We treated his ingrown nail before: the nail grew out perfectly, the skin healed, everything was smooth and pain-free.

But recently he started a new job — and with it came… new shoes.
Formal men’s shoes: narrow, short, stiff. And that was enough for the problem to come back.

In the video you can see the moment when I carefully free the ingrown edge. The work is precise, delicate, and always done according to protocol, with full sterility. Why can an ingrown nail return?

Because the main trigger is pressure from the shoes.
Even a perfectly treated nail can become ingrown again if someone wears:
✔️ tight men’s dress shoes
✔️ short or narrow toe-box
✔️ stiff leather pressing on the nail fold
✔️ shoes that don’t match the real foot size or shape

How to avoid repeating the problem?

📌 Choose the correct shoe size. There should be 0.5–1 cm space in the toe area.
📌 Avoid wearing formal shoes every day. Alternate with wider, softer footwear.
📌 Trim your nails properly. Don’t cut the corners too deep.
📌 Regular podology check-ups. If you had an ingrown nail once — prevention is the key.
📌 Use toe separators or orthotic spacers if your toes are pressed together in shoes.

Most importantly — don’t tolerate pain.

If you notice redness, swelling, or pressure — come early. It prevents inflammation and makes treatment much easier.
