So embrace on the roots body of the tree not on the leaves that can easily fleet as the strong wind blows 🌿🍃🏞️🤍🤍

Storms may destroy the leaves, but the roots grow deeper in seasons that challenge you.

Grandma and I were caught in a sudden storm on the way back from her cassava farm.
I panicked. She didn’t.
I kept asking, “Why do the hardest seasons come when I’m already tired?”

She placed her hand on the trunk of an old iroko tree and said:
“My child… storms do not weaken what is rooted. They reveal it.”

I looked closely.
The branches shook.
Leaves flew everywhere.

But the roots didn’t move.

“Life’s hardships don’t always show you progress,” she continued.
“They show you strength. Growth under pressure. Depth you never knew you had.”

And in that storm, I understood —
some seasons break the surface,
so the roots beneath can rise stronger.
