GIVE TO GAIN
🌿 A powerful moment from our International Women’s Day event on Sunday!

We had the honor of hosting Kilimani Wellness Gallery and their presentation on AI and health was truly eye-opening. Imagine technology that can help identify everyday health concerns, chronic conditions, and even highlight potential risks before symptoms appear.

I was so intrigued that I immediately booked my own appointment. What’s reassuring is that qualified medical doctors are on site to guide you and explain your results.
It’s exciting to see medical professionals combining modern technology with natural, holistic approaches to wellness.

✨ The best part? They are currently offering a special discount.

If you’ve been thinking about taking a more proactive step toward your health, this is a great opportunity. Book your appointment and take advantage of the offer while it lasts!

......"That day I had decided to try a new route." He got back before her. She called to say she was lost and sent him a pin. He asked if she wanted him to come fetch her. She said she'd call when she found the main road. The next call was from her son. Papa is on the floor. She went to the video immediately. He was lying on his belly. "I could hear him groan." A neighbour was called, and he was rushed to hospital. "When I got there, he was dead. He was just lying there, like he was sleeping." He was the fittest person she knew. Healthy as a horse. She was devastated.

"I knew I was in trouble that evening, on the phone with his cousin. He asked me, could it be something he ate? I told him he had been holding an avocado. Then a pastor friend of the family got on the line. 'Do you think the avocado was poisoned?' That's when I knew. If someone is already thinking the avocado was poisoned, trouble is coming." She pauses. "By the next day, trouble had arrived."

Grief, it turns out, does not pause the administrative requirements of death. There were forms. Queues to stand in. The world does not lower its voice just because yours has gone quiet. Nothing happens in government facilities over the weekend. She went back on Monday, was told an autopsy was required, paid, was put on a waiting list, and was assigned for Wednesday. Between his death on Saturday and the autopsy on Wednesday, not one of his relatives had shown up. “Five days. Nobody.”

💛 Let’s pause for a moment and give gratitude.
Because while you were navigating stress…
While you sought comfort in food, sugary drinks, or alcohol…
While you slept too little—or too much…
While energy to take that shower or go for that walk felt impossible…
While you reached for quick fixes instead of addressing the root cause of that headache…
Your body held space for you.

Those layers of fat weren’t your enemy, they were your body’s way of protecting you, a reflection of its intelligence, doing its best under the circumstances.
As you take steps to reduce excess fat, inflammation, or stress, be gentle with yourself. Your body is working for you, even when it feels like it’s working against you.

Looking back at this photo, I hardly recognize that version of me,but I am so grateful. Grateful for the journey, and for learning to love myself back to me. đź’›

Our story starts in 2014 when my first born was a toddler.
Shishi turned a personal health challenge into a sustainability-driven beauty brand rooted in ethical sourcing and community empowerment.

Her journey began in her kitchen while searching for a natural solution for her son’s eczema after growing frustrated with prescription steroid creams. Using nut oils sustainably sourced from Ugandan farmers, she hand-blended her first formulations and within weeks saw remarkable improvement.

Unemployed at the time, she began recycling jars to package her products, embedding circular practices into the brand from the start. What began as a homemade remedy soon evolved into a registered business supplying clean, plant-based skincare and hair oils.

Today, she partners directly with African growers, supports smallholder farmers, formulates and consults for emerging beauty brands, and mentors women entrepreneurs. Through Shishi Naturals, she champions green beauty that prioritizes holistic wellness, ethical supply chains, and collaborative growth.
